Hi all I am a total newb when it comes to writing so please forgive me and I will try and make this as basic as possible.
1. Firstly choose a niche, I like to use something that is easy to promote on bookmarking sites such as reddit because this is where we will get most of our traffic from. e.g gadgets or tech related.
2. Register a domain and get some hosting for creating your wordpress autoblog and slap on a decent looking theme not too flashy, but also not too plain. This is my site I created and flipped take a look: www.gadgetech.org
3. Do all the basic plugin installations such as SEO etc and either purchase and invest in the autoblogging WP-Robot plug-in or try and find a cracked version (its around here somewhere if I remember).
4. Install Google analytic code which can be done via a plug-in in wordpress to gather stats that you will need later for flipping purposes.
5. Now comes the bit where we will harvest URL's where we can get rss feed content to automatically update our blogs with. Go to your Google reader (http://www.google.co.uk/reader)
Click on add subscription link and search for e.g 'gadgets', now you will get a list of results from which you can choose a few. Try to choose ones that have not too many subscribers or else its easier for people to recognize when you link your posts to reddit.
6. Once you have found a few look at the feed url that is written below and copy and paste that for entering into WP-Robot.
7. Enter a couple feeds into WP-Robot and start fetching to create a few initial posts and then set it to automate using cron jobs to perhaps check every other day for new posts.
8. Start promoting your posts a few at a time, look for a interesting post that reddit community would like and submit that on reddit.com under the correct section. For this you have to experiment and try and find something that is cool and not been posted soon enough you will get some upvotes and it can easily go viral as this has happened to many times. (Screenshot below for proof) This is when my site was on its old domain infinity-sites.com
9. Before you know it you will get traffic coming from all over the place as it happened to me without doing any promotion. People see the content like it and refer it on. You will get traffic from social networks etc. Later on organic traffic will start coming in from long tail keywords that will boost your stats and if you keep getting a decent stream of visitors your alexa rank will drop nicely.
10. Once the stats begin to look good give it a few weeks you can just put this site up on flippa and sell it on. I managed to get $170 for this site and I said specifically that I am making no money but you can if you add adsense or amazon to the site. Because the stats are so good and you have proof of your traffic coming in it will sell easy on flippa! (Proof of sale below and traffic screenshots)
