Well a 404 error is when whatever you are looking for is not found. So it could be many things.

Firstly it could be that your scraping proxies that no longer exist. Either from dead or bad sources.

Its also possible that your ISPs DNS is messed up, you could try changing to google dns.

Your security programs such as anti-virus and malware checkers could be hijacking all the requests, or messing with scrapebox.

You could try different sources, try different DNS, try it in safe mode with networking support (if thats possible for you, cause offending programs won't load by default, then if that solves it you need to find the offending program and add allow rules or remove it). It could also be a virus.

ok, so what to do?
my antivirus catches no viruses.
I harvest and test proxies at the same time, so how they can not exist? Scrabebox harvests non existing proxies?

"safe mode with networking support" - not sure how - I am non-techie.
how to find the offending program?

57$, it's really cheap for what you can do with this software and a brain.
But, perhaps, you can pm the OP and ask him.

If you plan to launch 3 instances of scrapebox, you don't need 3 licences... just in case.

I know you have the scrapeboard project going but any chance you could start a keyword research tool some day? I mean SB has most of it already but building in an interface with adwords and an algorithim that targets worthwhile keywords like traffic travis tries to would be awesome and I am sure you would be far better at it than anyone else who has tried.

The Status says "Error 502". Does anyone know what this is?

No I guess that's not the problem because I have a dynamic IP and it has changed a lot during the last few days.
Also I tried with about 120 proxies and still the same error.

Or you could add site:yourdomain.com to keep track of the amount of pages Search Engines have indexed on your site, or extract those URL?s so you can obtain backlinks to them all to rank and dominate your competition.
