I see you have Dubai in your location, and i believe scrapebox.com is blocked in some parts of the UAE. The authentication test checks against the primary and secondary license servers, but the activation request is sent through the website server.

So just use "copy to clipboard" on the activation window and email your license info to support at scrapebox.com

700K is a big list indeed. I don't even use that big of lists on my 1000Mbit connection servers with 16 hyper threaded cores. There are lots of reasons sbox can hang. Like if you have a malformed list or one of the urls tries to be malicious. Also windows messaging can cause issues. Plus you have to account for the fact that its a 32 bit application, so if you run out of memory its going to crash, as it can only use 2GB of memory per instances. Try a smaller list.

Go for something like 200K. If it freezes, split it and try it. The reason being is its an easy elimination of something in teh list. If you split it and one freezes again, and the other works, then the bad urls are in the one that freezes. You can split it again and see which piece hangs etc. One handy thing that you can do is run it thru the malware addon, it can help rip out problematic urls.

$2000 USD really? You got ripped off. I can buy a nicer one then that for $1000 here in the states, it can't cost that much to ship it to where you are. Id take your pc back and just buy a server, you could get a years worth of a dedi with a 100Mbit connection for that.

Besides, I can say that a 200Mbit connection at home isn't as good as 100mbit connection in a data center. In a data center your physically closer to the DNS and the DNS is going to be significantly more Robust. Your DNS on a home company is likely to be a bottleneck, once you get above 15-20Mbit, DNS becomes your next issue to deal with. I am with AT&T in the states, both them and Verizon have great DNS, my 18Mbit AT&T connection danced circles, like many cirlces around my 65Mbit Comcast cable connection, because DNS was so slow.

As for Norton being a reputable program, sure they have good advertising and they block stuff, including scrapebox. My Mcafee has tried to blog both the Scrapebox.exe and a scrapebox addon this week alone. It blocked a Massive MMO game that my wife plays and I had to add it to the whitelist. Major A/V companies like Norton and Mcafee still block all kinds of legit stuff, and mind you, let bad stuff thru. Never trust them further then you can kick their installation disk.

Windows XP would be worse. Scrapebox is written in the windows 7 kernel so you get better "performance" (lack of a better word at 1 am). Next windows XP has only about 4K available ports vs win 7s something like 15K. Thats an issue because you can wind up having all ports open or waiting and then you have no inet access. Next it has the half-open connections set at 10 where win 7 doesn't have the half-open connections limit disabled by default. So XP would simply make it worse on multiple accounts.

Its unlikely the firefox download manager did anything.

Dunno about squid proxies, I only use Your Private Proxy, as I have tried many and they came out the most solid, so I stuck. I hammer them with hundreds of connections per IP simultaneously and they perform like its nothing.

With all of your patches, did you update your network card driver? Believe it or not, that can make a world of difference.

Thanks a lot for all your help. Smaller files didnt help, i get crash also on like 50k urls file. You said why i dont get vps or dedicated server...well those are big monthly fees, i read a lot people got unlucky with bad hosts. Some were lucky (which in my eyes can always be just marketing) some were unlucky. I have already problems with SB, now if i would get some host half globe away how i would fix some constact crashes, what if server would crash often and if response from host would be slow (and i would need to chose some host that doesnt care about sb blasting, so i would need to chose someone with good reputation on bhw). I already made attempt and order for start something at volume drive and i got VEEERY disapointed. without the doubt the crappiest host i ever bought account on. i used in past (for white had sites, and adult sites, and some other sites) many different host, i never had so bad host like volume drive. My calcus were that i would need to spend at least 100 usd month to get some fast server with windows vps...to expensive and to risky

At home connection i at least know where i stand. I use to be initial seeder for torrents a few years ago. Computer was crappy compared to my current computer. On piii cpu i seeded totaly new torrents and i was getting like 1000 leechers in half hour (the pir... b..). Why i am mentioning torrents? becouse sweet funny told me to check on some help torrent site if my router has any problems....but ...i am not new to torrents. my torrents had more times over 10 000 seeders/leechers after one day, and 1000 after first half hour or so. And thats hell of a lot compared to 20 connections inside SB

Anyway i was blasting whole week 1st 750k file, there was like 10 crashes. And i thought in the end i will collect only succed list....so i was saving each crashdump logger file to different names. and i didnt pay attention to file size of "crash dump poster subbmited". file contains submmited stuff from more sessions, not only just last ? when it reaches 1million urls its "1st in last out" ?
my initial thinking was like:
i got 10 crashes, i will merge "10 saved and renamed crash dump poster submited files". but i noticed now al my saved "crash dumb poster subbmited files" contain 1 million urls. so i guess it contains logs from more sessions ? compared to other 2 files which probably contains logs only from last session, becouse they are smaller

loopline: now it looks like stabily increased. and i am using file with 700k aa urls (basicly those are filtered urls from 1st run that caused crashing - i just simply used crash dump poster submitted file - i just removed duplicated to get 700k from 1mil file)
uptime is now 700 minutes, which is sort of record uptime for me while dealing with aa

It should be "Do you really .."

You need to disable the multi-threaded harvester in the Settings menu, and then use the Delay drop down on the right side of the tool near the Test Comments button.

Disable threaded harvester in setting? I can't find that? It would be nice to have a PDF to go through for this. I get dead and timed out proxies and it does not matter what I do...! If I use Private proxies they last for around 10 minutes and they are dead. I tried setting my dns to 8.8.8.8 etc., and it failed. I don't have the correct string I guess to put in the box.

Overall this has been a big fail for me. Days and days working on this and nothing. Really this should be much easier to run. We should be getting updates in our email with fixes to these problems/issues. You have to be coder to figure this out. Nothing in thread helped me!

And the proxies provided are a joke.

My Scrapebox just got activated today and it seems that it's too large and I can't resize it! I can barely see the bottom part of the interface. I've tried changing resolution on my 23" monitor and it still doesn't work. Can you please resize it for me so it doesn't fill up the whole screen? Thanks

Thanks for your reply Sweetfunny. But even after disabling the multi-threaded harvester and setting the delay, the harvester doesn't seem to use it (i set it to max value 10 s). I tried this with just one working proxy and the harvester didn't use any delay in between the queries.

Another dumb question from me. There is this politician I have been trying to help by ranking his website for his challengers name..

The guy has his wbesite set to default at www.politicianiwanttohelp.com and the scrapebox and xrumer links i have been blasting at it are just http://politicianiwanttohelp.com

Is this why yahoo shows ld2 at over 4,000 links and his index page at only 900 or so links? I have been blasting direct to the index page.

Option to get any link from a domain specified.
Show whether the found link is d0foll0w or not.

Harvester:
Do not harvest duplicate domains option.
Note: not remove duplicates after the harvest, but not to harvest duplicates in the first place. Don't know if this would be too much resource intensive, but it sure would be awesome.

over all i havnt seen u happy much on bhw
buying scrapebox doesnt mean sweet has to
hold your hand while you learn how to run it
thats your job - you buy something you learn it.
theres videos / tutorials all over the place for
scrapebox try google - dont bash the tool maker
because you cant grasp something, is that her fault?

threaded harvester took me 10 seconds to find it
and i dont even use scrapebox i only test proxies in it

if your using private proxies to scrape and post with
simple answer dont. scrape with private proxies will get them
blocked.. and users on bhw use private proxies everyday to use
scrapebox with few or no issues . seems to me the only problem
is the learning curve which isnt sweets fault.
