Does passing out flyers to promote a CPA actually work?

There's been alot of threads going around talking about promoting CPA accounts by passing out physical flyers. Has using this method worked or failed for you?

I have had decent success posting offers on college campuses, but nothing to brag about.

U can always put an ad in the paper with your url and a little description..


Or get a billboard that is in a spot where there is rush hour using the same concept as the paper..

Waste of time and too much work

Print out flyers whole day and when sun is going to sleep... then strike! slip your flyer to EVERY mailbox you can see and your gold.

I've had considerable success using the email/zip submit with flyers. Placing them in the bottom portion of the mailbox works, especially in up-scale type neighborhoods. The only problem is to find something that would match with the email/zip newsletter - I suggest something related to the schools or taxes, for those get people active.

i'm thinking of doing this myself. i get stuff in my letter box all the time, and i wonder if that's what the other people are doing... i just have to find something for australians, because there's no point in me promoting something here that's only in the US.

plus i have to join a CPA network....

I would rather sit behind my computer and post ads on CL haha I damn sure aint walkin around passing fliers out just not for me,

If I were not lazy then I would do it at a college for scholarship CPA

The US views the entire mailbox as their property and any junk mail placed on or inside it is subject to a fine. Stay clear of the mail box.

nobody cares in our neighborhood about whether your suppose to do it or not. thats about par for most neighborhoods or just post it on a door. pass out flyers late in the afternoon after the mailman arrives, keep your domain private and call it a day....

just trying to determine whether its works or not and worth the cost

I've an experienced before with flyer, I outsourced this method, I got some conversions but not good enough to cover my investment even if I scale it up. Next thing you know I left this method and jump to another one.

I"ve actually tried this in my campus. I basically broke even with the printing costs.
