Hi everyone - I am a free hosting junkie. Anyway, I have this free hosting that I like to use (it's in another country), but it is useless to me if I cannot stop the popups from ruining my sites.

Can I use some technique (all my sites are in wordpress) to stop the pop ups? Hope I made sense, and hope this is the right section for this question.

Thanks for any/all advice!

I don't think there's a way without root access. You're better off throwing down $7/month on some cheap shared hosting.

Yeah, I have a 6.99 byet account - I guess I just liked the free subdomains that I got through this free one. Anyway, I learned so much using it because it has no bells/whistles and anything so far had to be done using .htaccess stuff, redirects and stuff and I hate to give up on it because I can see learning so much having to do things the hard way ...

dude dont be a cheap bastard, just pay like $4 a month for high quality hosting

I figured it out, but not likely to share with you - unlimited hosting, call me cheap, but it is good :pirate:

Think inside the box, ok. Not for me

nah, x10hosting free hosting is just as good as hostgators $4 plan... I should know, I have accounts & domains setup on both :D

Use JavaScript
Care to elaborate? - you know that I mean stop them for all visitors to the sites - seems like javascript would just affect my browser, wouldn't it?

Anyway, the method I am on to uses php...
