Hi everyone,
I’m facing a severe case of Brand Entity Contamination & Keyword Cannibalization that has completely suppressed a new domain in the YMYL (Medical/Plastic Surgery) niche. I desperately need your strategic advice on how to un-suppress it.
Background:We have two big brands under the same master brand name:

I’m facing a severe case of Brand Entity Contamination & Keyword Cannibalization that has completely suppressed a new domain in the YMYL (Medical/Plastic Surgery) niche. I desperately need your strategic advice on how to un-suppress it.
Background:We have two big brands under the same master brand name:
- Brand A (The Legacy Brand): A Beauty Salon (Non-invasive treatments: lasers, skincare, lip tattooing). This brand is over a decade old, has a massive backlink profile, strong entity trust, and occupies top rankings.
- Brand B (The New Brand): A Plastic Surgery Hospital (Invasive surgeries: breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, liposuction).
What we have already fixed on Brand B (Hospital Site):
- Schema Markup: Applied strict separation. Brand A uses BeautySalon / HealthAndBeautyBusiness. Brand B uses Hospital / MedicalOrganization with medical license data.
- On-page Content Clean-up: Removed all non-invasive/spa content, prices, and logos from the Hospital site. It now strictly focuses on professional surgical procedures.
- EEAT & Authorship: Added a dedicated "Medical Doctors Team" page with official board-certified licenses, degrees, and real-life clinic photos. All articles are medically reviewed by these doctors.
- GMB/GBP: Cleaned up the Google Business Profile, removed spa-related services/posts, and kept only hospital photos.
- The Hotline Issue: Currently, both the Beauty Salon and the Hospital are still sharing the exact same call center hotline number. (We are purchasing a separate dedicated hotline for the hospital to fix this ASAP).
- The Off-Page/PR Nightmare (Cross-Contamination):We audited our past digital PR and guest posts on high-authority national news sites (DA 70-80). It’s a total mess:
- Many PR articles discussing Spa/Salon services (e.g., acne treatment, lip tattooing) explicitly mention the "Hospital" name in the text.
- Major PR articles introducing the "Hospital" actually contain backlinks pointing directly to the "Beauty Salon" domain.
- Google is receiving heavily mixed signals from authoritative external sources, cementing the idea that both entities are the same thing.
- Feasibility: Is it realistically possible to recover from this level of deep Entity/Knowledge Graph confusion in a strict YMYL niche?
- Timeline & Feasibility without fixing past PR links: Once we separate the hotline number and contact the press/agencies to update/fix what we can, how long does it usually take for Google to lift the suppression? Does it require a major Core Update? More importantly, what happens if we leave some of those contaminated PR links as they are? Editing old articles on top national newspapers is a logistical nightmare and extremely difficult here. Can we still recover by just fixing our owned assets (on-page, hotline, GMB), or will those unfixed external signals permanently paralyze our rankings?
- Entity Correction Strategy: What is the fastest way to force Google’s AI to re-crawl, re-evaluate, and draw a clear boundary between these two entities? Should we aggressive-link to the Doctor profiles via standalone PR to build separate entities out-of-the-box?
