We’ve been working with major media and advertising teams on design solutions for quite some time now, and I’d like to point out that 90% of traditional creative methods are no longer in use. Given the improving quality of deepfakes, demand is growing exponentially.
Do you think this is the future, or will synthetic content quickly become oversaturated and face regulation, leading us back to standard solutions for overcoming banner blindness?

Deepfakes themselves arent the future imo, the underlying gen pipeline is. Whats actually killing traditional creative isnt the realism, its the cost per variant dropping to basically zero. You can spin up 200 versions of an ad and let the algo sort winners, thats the real shift.

The deepfake angle specifically is gonna get regulated hard, you can already see it coming with the likeness laws popping up. Synthetic faces of real people = lawsuit bait. We pulled back from that stuff last year after a client got nervous about it.

But synthetic content broadly? nah thats not going away. It just stops looking like deepfakes and starts looking like "we generated this model/voice/scene from scratch and own all rights to it". Thats the version that survives regulation.

Banner blindness was never really solved by creative quality anyway, it was solved by placement and context. Better fakes wont fix someone trained to ignore the right rail. So I dont think we swing back to "standard solutions", we just move forward into cheaper synthetic stuff that happens to be legally clean.

I generally agree.
I think only the gray and black markets will ignore the policies and legal complications surrounding the use of AI.
But I’m not sure about the cost—top-tier deepfakes require more and more investment every month.

DeepFake works best for me. I found someone from BHW who can deliver me yper realistic DeepFake videos. We create tweak so creatives can pass even Google Ads, Meta and TikTok Ads. But mostly I use this for social media presence. DeepFake is still hiden gem for Crypto promo and other grey stuff.
