Hey everyone,
Back in the day, 1:1 (square) was basically the go-to for Facebook and Instagram feeds. It was easy, clean, and worked everywhere.
But now I’m seeing more and more people pushing 4:5 (vertical) as the “new default” since it takes up more screen real estate and arguably performs better.
So I’m wondering:
Would love to hear what’s actually working for you right now

So I’m wondering:
- Is 1:1 basically outdated at this point?
- Should we be switching fully to 4:5 for Facebook + IG feed in 2026?
- Or is it still worth testing / keeping 1:1 in the mix?
- Are you guys designing creatives only for 4:5 now and letting Meta crop the rest?
Would love to hear what’s actually working for you right now
