Building a Crypto Telegram Empire

Respect for actually documenting the process instead of popping up later with a “trust me bro it works” thread.

Crypto on TG is not easy mode, you already know that. The churn is savage and one wrong promo can stain the whole channel. But you’re right, if you crack it properly, the upside is very real.

One thing I’d really keep an eye on from day one is retention and engagement per post, not just member count. In this niche, it’s easy to stack numbers and end up with a ghost town. What makes the asset valuable is how many people are actually reading, clicking and sticking around. Advertisers care way more about that than a shiny 100k badge.

Smart move starting with 20 accounts and testing before jumping to 50. Most guys go full throttle, get slapped with bans, then spend the next month rebuilding inventory. Controlled scaling might feel slower, but it usually wins long term.

I’m also curious to see how your soft monetization goes around 10k. From what I’ve seen, if you position yourself as someone filtering noise instead of just posting every new shiny token, people respond way better. Crypto audiences are tired. They want signal, not more chaos.

Solid plan overall. I’ll be watching the updates. If you execute this clean, this thread could turn into one of those classic BHW journeys people reference later.

Good luck, bro.
Thank you for the nice words.

I had some issues with accounts being banned the last weeks but i found the source of the problem and i already purchased new accounts.

To everyone dming me and posting on this thread , thank you for your nice words, i will update this thread with my recent results and struggles soon.

have you thought about combining high‑intent traffic sources with community engagement to hit your goals? at WNF we tested buying expired crypto‑related domains and redirecting them to a token launch, which brought tens of thousands of targeted visits at a few cents per unique. but the real difference came when we paired that traffic with active mods and regular amas to keep users around. do you think retention and interactive content matter more than just hitting 100k quickly? also curious how you plan to handle churn as you scale.

Update: Pivoting to Casino Why and What's Next

First off, thank you to everyone who's been following this journey and dropping valuable insights .

After weeks of testing, tracking, being real with myself about the numbers, I've decided to pivot from crypto to casino.

Crypto engagement on Telegram is brutal right now. The market's quiet, people are fatigued from endless "wen moon" posts, and retention is a constant fight. Even with solid content, keeping eyes on posts is an uphill battle.

Casino traffic converts differently. The audience is hungry, the offers pay consistently, and the intent is clear. In the crypto space, you're fighting skepticism. In casino, you're feeding a desire.

What This Means for the Journey

Channel Rebrand: I'm starting fresh with a casino focus think exclusive bonuses, game guides, and promo code drops.

Still running same software for acquisition, just pointed at casino-related groups instead of crypto circles. The automation setup stays, the message templates get rewritten.

Current Status Before the Switch :

Channel Members: ~2,800 (will migrate or rebuild not sure yet)

Active Accounts: 15, scaling back to 30

What's Next :

This week: Finalize the casino angle, set up the new channel assets, and begin targeted group joining.

Next update: First 1,000 members in the new niche, with screenshots of the approach.

Thanks for sticking with the thread.

Let's see what happens. Questions and pushback welcome.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey and keeping us updated.

It’s undeniable that the crypto market feels quite saturated right now, but I truly appreciate your insights and perspective. I’ll be looking forward to your next update.

keep up the great work!

To be honest, most people hate static channels with comments disabled etc. Opening comments would be essential imo

Quick shoutout to everyone who dmed me. A few of you asked about retention, and that turned out to be the headline for this first update.

First WEEKS REALITY CHECK

Let’s cut the fluff. Automation is running, accounts are warm, and the channel is growing. But the gap between "member added" and "member staying" is real.

Starting Stats:

  • Members: 1,227
End of the first Weeks Stats

  • Members: 4,414
  • Net Growth: +3,187 members
  • Active Accounts Used: 15 out of 20 (5 parked for safety)
  • Accounts Banned : 0
  • Software Issues: 1 (rate-limit hiccup, resolved by rotating proxy pools)
  • Revenue: $0 (Still on target)

WHAT WORKED (SO FAR)

  1. Slow and Steady Wins the Race : I capped the software at 250-300 adds/account/day instead of pushing to 500. Result? Zero bans. The software from the BHW marketplace does exactly what it says when you don't get greedy.
  2. Content First : Before running a single add, I posted 12 high-value pieces. New members see value immediately. My exit rate is still high , but the members who stay are engaged.
  3. The "Ghost Member" Problem : Of all the new members, about 18-20% left within 48 hours. That's actually better than I expected. My goal is now to convert the remaining 80% into daily users before monetization.

WHAT I LEARNED (THE HARD WAY)

Retention > Acquisition. You can add 10,000 members in a week, but if your channel feels like a ghost town or a shillfest, they'll leave just as fast.

The Adjustments I'm Making:
  • Pinned "New Member Starter Pack" : A menu of the top 3 posts they should read first.
  • Daily Polls : Ask the audience what they want to see next. Engagement signals keep Telegram's algorithm from burying your channel.

WHAT'S COMING:

  • Goal: Hit 7,500 members
  • Test: Introduce a single, soft "sponsored message" to gauge audience backlash (expecting some, planning for it)
  • Account Expansion: Warming up 20 more accounts to keep growth linear

Inspiring journey

Do you think gaining active members for crypto and forex is still possible lets says I want to build the community what's the steps i can take ?
it still possible, but the most important thing is content, you need to make sure your content is solid to retain new members.
