My Journey at 17 to $1000/month with YouTube + Blog

A high school student making 100+ $ a month? You are doing better than 99% of people your age. You should be proud. Now, It is time to create a sustainable future from this and live like a king.

The key to success is consistency. You set a goal to upload 1 video per week. DO IT. Without any excuse do it. You will be successful if you keep this goal.

Update - 5th May 2022

Hi! I'm back with my monthly revenue update.

The affiliate is doing well. Since it's recurring, it has grown noticeably from last month. I still haven't uploaded anymore videos, but I'm really looking forward until after my exams in June so I can start working again. I have thought of even more ideas on how to monetise my next video. I've been thinking of creating something similar to ad.fly, to milk in even more revenue from people downloading files to follow my YouTube tutorials. I'm thinking of implementing this monetisation strategy:

Watch my video (ad revenue and affiliate) -> Go to my blog to get the link for the download (ad revenue & traffic) -> Make them wait a couple seconds before download ($$$)

I got the idea from a friend who runs a wiki site with a community download section. He makes a crazy RPM with ad units which appear when people download files.

Anyways, here's the revenue for April:
YouTube Adsense: $125.87
Affiliate 1: $30.15
Total: $156.02

59.1k across the channel in April. I only upload "evergreen" videos, so my channel still gets views even if I don't upload.
