Update:
Didn't promote that much due to fasting days and got busy with SaaS product strategizing and marketing. I'll try to publish more content this month to achieve a new target. Have some cool ideas to implement. Let's see how this works.

My plan:
After a decade of 'almosts,' I'm done chasing shiny objects. My goal is simple: Build a high-authority resource in the Tech/Automation space that hits the Mediavine threshold ($1k/m baseline) through pure utility. Niches I planned to expand in the future (Blogging, Marketing, Productivity - Digital Entrepreneurship)

I’m not just 'writing articles', I’m solving specific user problems with structured, easy-to-comprehend content and step-by-step walkthroughs. Starting with a deep dive into Automation, covering every 'dark corner' of the niche with piles of free, value-based content. No gatekeeping, no fluff just the stuff I wish I had when I was starting out as a self-taught dev.

I’m sticking with Automation until I’ve built a pillar of ~80 posts (including strategic affiliate guides). Once I’ve established topical dominance and momentum, I’ll pivot into the broader ecosystem (Blogging, Marketing, Productivity).

This isn't a "generalist" site. This is an E-E-A-T play. I’m building a pure image by delivering value first, using walkthroughs and real-world experience to prove I’m not just another AI-generated blog

2 n8n Automations - (to find problems, that needs solutions)

Current Update,
  • Site is on live with 9 contents. (Approximately 10,000+ words)
  • Should build ToS / Privacy Policy / About pages
  • Schemas generated ✅ + Technical SEO ✅ + On-Page SEO ✅ done pretty well. (I don't believe in keyword researches but intent)
  • Static Author box, (because I don't think of building a dynamic since I'm the one who going to write all the contents for now)
  • GA4 not yet configured or the Google Search Console. (planned to do it in the month end once all the necessary pages are built)
  • Once I published ~30 posts, then I start outreach for backlinks and opportunities
  • Umami says I have received 214 views without developer + localhost views
  • I need to sketch my marketing plan tomorrow with Miro or maybe Excalidraw

Nice project. I’m kinda in the same boat—getting a blog to 1k/month takes consistency more than fancy hacks. I started with a few practical posts, documented what worked and what didn’t, and kept tweaking the format. If you’re up for it, I can share a couple of tweaks from my own experiments that actually helped me keep posting without burning out.

Hey man, I remember you from 2020 when you were active here. Time flies and lots has changed. The plan you wrote in the OP is a bit outdated, all that "building an authority site" doesn't work anymore, but I am glad you found the pinterest twist, that's the way nowadays, gotta push socials hard. Maybe even switch to yt but pinterest + blog should still be fine.

There are a few journeys here about it, defo check it out.

I see bloggers moving to vlogging or just newsletters. If you see a journey nowadays about blogging with SEO, just check if the op isn't also selling something related to blogging in the marketplace.

I hope you reach your goal with whatever combination of traffic will work.

Hey blogmen.... how are you matee?

I totally agree with you with the authority, but the authority means in my terms, I wanted to be a gold standard in a niche, and obviously im moving the needle towards it. People should remember my site, that's my goal and in terms of Authority, like be a bigshot and create business around it, then anyways Google will rank it. As a result I got 14k+ total views so far, 20+ email subscribers, community growing slowly and steadily. Authority blogging isnt dead but we need to play it differently. I don't rely on one source of traffic, have a framework built upon how obtain traffics, and I feel like i'm nailing it, double down on which works.

Vlogging is getting crazy, but not interested in pointing towards, not now. However newsletters are like, pure shit spam. I dun know, samething everyone publishing, so I thought to make a difference.

No blogging projects, not worth it anymore. You should check all the successful guys from before, kikerinka, shaun and many others, they know it's dead now.

Those 14k views in a few months are easy to get initially but need much more traffic to make money with display ads. Google gives some boost with new content but it dries out fast, and you'll have to keep adding new keywords constantly, it's not stable anymore, you better master pinterest or reddit to get some traffic, but that's another fast evolving game in itself.

Basically what you need to do is keep posting all day every day on socials just to get some views on your blog's MV ads. All that sweet stable google traffic is gone now. I can get traffic in any niche in a few days after launching the blog but it's not going to stick, let alone grow. We tried all the angles while you were away, check the yeys gang, they had a big portfolio of profitable sites, now they even sold the main domain, and went back to substack subdomain, that's rough.

I can feel your frustration here, seriously, I don't literally care about Google traffic, why solely rely on one source, and obviously, ahem, But seriously, something working for me not for all of you. I cant just say it, but it is like, writing a content that users resonates. Ive got 3 high ticket services, they reached out to me via my blog. I dun know man, it is working for me, getting some beans of traffics from google. Ill see this website as a business not a passive income shit. I should work + generate an income.

In op you said you're going for mediavine monetization as a goal. So you changed all that direction?

If your journey is different from what your op states then sure you might have a small chance.

I landed a $1,200 project that I completed and deployed within a week - the client found me through my site, so that's a good sign it's doing its job. My main goal right now, though, is getting accepted into Journey Mediavine. The site is consistently driving traffic and getting picked up by Google and other search engines, which I'm taking as a positive signal. I'm planning to revamp it in May to meet Journey Mediavine's standards. I've already completed the Figma design, and it's looking quite polished - almost like a corporate site.

yeah doubling down every methods that works and thoughtfully, going in a positive way though. Focusing on delivering contents with pure intent based, I still wondering why others relying on Search engine as their primary source of truth in terms of Generating Traffics. However, my mind is totally set straight on hitting long term. But all I need is simply passive ad income, I haven't seen that in my life. A dashboard with cents like,. I wanted to experience that so badly man.

Update:
literally very low content publishes this month as well. Only 3 contents. but we made some improvements in orchestration in revamping the site design, hired a editor who gonna editing the contents, and drafted like 7 contents up-front, and figured out getting into Google Discover and changed the featured image design pattern in Figma. Let's see where this hops into. I've had a good clicks from Google first week, and suddenly it dropped to 0. I checked with reports that users had stayed longer those who came from the organic traffics. Bing and DuckGoGo performing very well, compared to Google.

This month goals/tasks are, (NOT SIMPLE)
- Consistent publishing (4 posts / week or more ) no compromising in quality of the content. (Published one content already)
- Active marketing on the sources everyday- Created a systematic approach to do so, when you published a post, what's the next step? Kinda system, well, that won't be bored.
- Revamp the site + Security audit (Design part is done + dev start soon)
- Find additional contents ideas / topics (minimum of 50)
- Revise all the content published
- Apply to Journey by May 30th

- Views: 5.00k
