So I’ve been experimenting with some AI-based cloaking stuff lately, and honestly… it’s wild what’s possible in 2026. The AI can:

Show different content to users vs. search engines without leaving obvious footprints
Rotate content automatically
Adapt based on which crawlers are visiting


Has anyone actually tried AI cloaking yet?
I’m debating if this is game-changing or just asking for trouble. Would love to hear what you’ve tested!

AI-based cloaking is still very risky and can easily lead to penalties, so most people aiming for long-term results are sticking with transparent, guideline-compliant SEO instead.

AI is definitely evolving faster. We may initially have some issues but AI cloaking covers most aspects and takes better precautions. However, we should keep watching the behaviour of crawlers and update cloaker whenever necessary. There is also no way to be safe from manual verification. With all the features and benefits, AI is worth the risk.

All of that can be done without AI, and has been for years. Awaiting your sales pitch...

Fair point ...but hasn’t “transparent SEO” already shifted? Dynamic rendering and personalization were risky once too.
If AI adapts content by intent instead of hiding things from bots, is that still cloaking… or just the next step of SEO?

Classic cloaking shows different content to bots vs. users. AI cloaking adapts dynamically...changing content based on visitor type, device, or crawler, almost in real time.
So… smarter personalization, or still cloaking Google could penalize? Where would you draw the line?

All of that can be done without AI, and has been for years. Awaiting your sales pitch...

Neither. It's what cloakers have been doing at scale, in real time, and across millions of variations, for years. Putting a little AI bow on it doesn't make it revolutionary.

AI definitely makes automation easier but i don't think it makes cloaking "safe". At the end of the platforms and crawlers keep improving detection too Ai can just make the process faster and more dynamic, but the risk is still there. From what I’ve seen, many people still use normal cloakers like TrafficGuardian or JCI or some other cloaker and focus more on a solid setup rather than relying only on AI
