Just wondering if any of you still using Animoto to create videos for your clients?

I've recently got a reply from their support saying we can't distribute the video to other businesses even with the PRO/Commercial License, we need the Reseller license which cost $499 + $25/client/month for each video you created. What a rip off!

Can't we just create the video & download it without them hosting it?

We can always get our own server to host those videos anyways....

I'm no longer using Animoto based not only what you mention, but the fact a lot of videos from there are starting to look the same. I'm now strictly using Vegas Video with assorted plugins.

But agree, it's a rip, though it was a game changer.

Not really, that's what I use for all my stuff, simple or complex. Windows Movie Maker does a lot, give that a shot.

Kind of depends on whether you read the whole thread or just the beginning...

read this and if you're still interested at that price, then sure, but I don't do them for $25 anymore.
