Some of my clients recently had their ads removed by Facebook. When ads are removed, it can be due to several reasons related to violations of the platform's policies. Here are some things to keep in mind to avoid this situation and optimize your ads:
- Content policy violations: Ads containing misleading information, inaccurate content, or copyright infringement will be removed.
- Use of inflammatory or violent language: Ads with inappropriate, offensive, or hateful language will be removed.
- Targeting errors: Ads may be removed if they are incorrectly targeted or discriminatory (e.g., targeting an inappropriate age or gender group).
- Image policy violations: Using images containing sensitive, pornographic, violent, or shocking content can lead to ad removal.
- Misleading information: Ads containing misleading information or promising unrealistic results may be removed.
Notes to avoid ad removal:
- Thoroughly review ad content to ensure compliance with Facebook's policies.
- Ensure images, videos, and text do not violate copyright or cause confusion.
- Implement proper targeting and adhere to advertising audience guidelines.
- If removed, review the reason in Facebook's notification and modify the ad before attempting to repost.
