Links are lost in the middle of excessively lengthy responses that people don't care enough to completely read or click on the links, they just take a quick look and move on or ask another question without taking the time to check a link

Looking at BHW AI members, we can see that AI is still the king about generating long, boring answers that most people on those lazy days won't bother to read completely before the first yawn

The statistics must be true. Since I barely click the gpt links. So it seems it's just another medium of branding.

But it is definitely getting massive amounts of searches which were done in search engines a few years ago.

Yeah, this lines up with what many of us are seeing. ChatGPT shows your links, but almost nobody clicks. It’s great for visibility, not real traffic. Right now GPT isn’t a Google replacement. If anyone is expecting ChatGPT to drive big traffic, they might be disappointed. Better to focus on brand building and Google visibility instead.
