Tracking everything in smaller window. GSC check, compare top queries and CTR (before and after), look at backlink velocity to spot unnatural spike or drop, monitor page speed and uptime using any third party tool.

Even if it resolves on its own, having that data lets you react faster next time instead of waiting for Google to settle things.
