Why verified YouTube creators don't get a free premium subscription?

Wassup BHW, I am wondering, why you not get YouTube premium for free as a creator having over 100K+ subs and being verified.
They obviously make lots of money with your channel's creations. So why not sponsor you at least in this way?

Would like to hear some thoughts on it. And eventually you know social / streaming platforms where creators get such advantages.

Cheers!

Dude, YouTube pays for your services.

If you can deliver some value, they reward it.

It's like asking to get a free gym membership, because you are kind to everyone and help others during workouts.

Never seen someone focused on YouTube premium. You are running in wrong race.

I get your point. I do not expect anything and I am more than happy in my current position.
But like in a gym, if you work there as a personal trainer for example, you most probably don't pay for the memebership.

YouTube is brilliant. Unlike other social platforms it actually pays the creator a reasonable amount. More than happy in my current position.
On top of that YouTube music is having an incredible sound quality. Makes me want to move away from Spotify tho.

I remember when YouTube premium was completely free in some parts of the world (around 2017).
You were able to download and use all current benefits of the premium subscription, free of any charge. Funny times.

So yeah, this was more of a philosophical question, rather than a furstrated one. YouTube music got me thinking about it in the first place.

Thanks for your reply :D !

Most platforms focus on revenue from users not creators so perks like free premium are rare and usually limited to small partner programs

Now that makes a lot of sense. I wasn't thinking this way, but where revenue flows, focus is put. Thx!

Gym example was bad. YT is #1 creator network, and any gym chain is in constant competition.

So, areas with multiple gyms will tend to afford the best they can for everyone.

Launching a new feature always come free (if possible) it's a tactical and smart move to play.

You have like 600k active creators today with 100k+ subs, and that goes up rapidly.

In 2 years it will be 1,2m or more.

Say that 300k creators are using premium and give it a price of $2

It's $600,000 USD

Very good reason not to be generous. YouTube had their legal battles and got scars.

This is a money world, no free lunch, only hooks. I'm glad you're doing well.

Sometimes while drinking coffee and read BHW, I reply to some threads in not the best way.

I get what you’re saying. You’d think YouTube would hook up verified creators with 100K+ subs with Premium, right? But nah, they just treat everyone the same—creators still gotta pay like the rest of us. Makes no sense sometimes, but that’s the deal, my friend.

YouTube doesn’t give free Premium to creators, even with 100K+ subs, because Premium is a paid service for users, not a creator perk.

Platforms rarely offer paid user perks as freebies to creators its all about balancing revenue and user experience for everyone.

While free Premium would be nice, creators usually benefit more from monetization features than platform freebies.

i asked myself the same question. i think YouTube doesn’t give free Premium to verified creators because Premium is built for paying users, not a perk for makers. creators already get monetisation tools and revenue share. if they gave Premium free to thousands of creators the cost would go up and maybe hurt their system.

They are already paying you for views and clicks on content. Focus on increasing that .
