Squarespace vs Wix which is better for organic traffic?

If they really want to move, Webflow or Squarespace are solid. But don’t expect traffic to magically go up just from switching.
I not have seen till today a Wix or Squarespace website who has multiple listings in the serps, wordpress yes but the nothers not. So wordpress must have some seo serp benefits.

CMS does not impact search engine rankings. Your content and user experience does.
You are very wrong. The website platform matters a great deal for SEO. I’ve seen multiple websites launched simultaneously on different CMSs and website builders - and there were clear patterns depending on the platform.
Under otherwise equal conditions, websites built on WordPress performed the best, while among online stores, Shopify showed the strongest results.

Squarespace gives cleaner URLs out of the box, which matters more for organic than most people think.
How it matters organic traffic growth when SS websites not gain muliple serp listings?

SS has cleaner url than WP? How can a url be more clean than;
mydomain.com/title ?

If the site’s been up 2 years and only doing 1-10 visitors a day, that’s not a WordPress problem. that’s content and promotion. Moving to Wix or Squarespace is a step backwards for SEO.

Before you even talk platforms, find out why the client wants to leave WP. Is it ease of use, design, cost, hosting headaches? Fixing the root issue makes more sense than ditching the CMS that gives the best shot at organic growth.

if you can't manage that then squarespace. cleaner URLs, less junk in the path. Wix still bloats with stuff you can’t strip.

No see results and maintenance issues.
Results issue is due to not optimizing your seo well

For maintenance why not go for affordable host, when your site starts growing you can slowly move for bigger space and bandwidth. Start small.

But best believe Wordpress is much easier to optimize your seo and even add more tricks to make sure you’re ranking, other platforms may prevent lots of other hidden things

For SEO/organic traffic, stick with WP. Wix/Squarespace are easy, but won’t beat WP’s control and plugins.

Wordpress is still the best option for organic traffic, since it gives you more control over seo and site speed. If your client really want to switch, squarespace is usually a bit stronger than wix for search visibility.

Client is looking to move website away from Wordpress. org. Which would you suggest? That bring the most organic traffic.
Client website been live for more than 2 years 1-10 daily visitors.
Honestly, between Squarespace and Wix, neither will magically bring traffic if the site only has 1-10 visitors after 2 years.
Wix gives you a bit more SEO flexibility, Squarespace looks prettier out of the box.
But the real “traffic engine” is still content + backlinks — the platform is more like the car’s paint color. ✨

Squarespace is way slower in page speed than Wordpress, the reason is it's bad coded. SS loads all unnecessary css+js scripts on each page which will slow down the page laod speed. I don't know if you can manually put these unnecessary scripts in the footer in SS ?

You might as well be saying: “One time in 1991 I saw a guy who owned one driving down the road.”

This has zero value. And you know it too.

What does your guy from 1991 have to do with this?
We’re discussing SEO here - looks like you’ve mixed up the forums.

Yes that may be a reason, but you rarely see SS sites having multiple serp listings , wordpress there are enough sites with multiple listings , because SS restricts your SEO, which makes it useless and expansive only with on their cheap 29$ monthly price.

Wordpress SEO advantages over SS not comes form themes or plugins. SS restricts your SEO, I not have seen a SS sie who has multiple serp listings. Think about it. This makes the whole SS cms useless no matter if the price is low with monthly $29.

would not recommend them, use wordpress or ghost for news article site.

Yep and SS sites are slow.......I tink you can fix this block these rendering scripts but for that, you must hire a Developer good luck to find one who is a specialist for SS and he will not be cheap. All this makes me stay away from SS.

I think tbh platform doesn't matter as much as ppl think. I've seen ghost work well for news sites but setup can be tricky. focus on good keywords and backlinks instead. what niche is the client in? idk if they want self hosting.
