Squarespace vs Wix which is better for organic traffic?

Client is looking to move website away from Wordpress. org. Which would you suggest? That bring the most organic traffic.
Client website been live for more than 2 years 1-10 daily visitors.

Wix definitely has edge over squarespace. Squarespace is meant for beautiful looking sites with target demographic being females. Wix is more geared towards businesses.
But none of these means moving aways from wordpress will increase your traffic. So let this be known to your client and set the expectations right.
 
CMS does not impact search engine rankings. Your content and user experience does.

Would you recommend Wix over Squarespace for a news article site?

King making money from blogs/websites is now an old-fashioned business and revenues have plummeted.
 
CMS don't have much effect in how many visitors you're receiving. For traffic, you need to have a social media strategy or SEO strategy - sites don't just get traffic without doing anything :)
 
Between Squarespace and Wix, Squarespace generally has cleaner code and better SEO control.
Wix has improved, but still can feel bloated, which may slow loading times.
For organic growth, WordPress > Squarespace > Wix in most cases.
If moving, focus on URL structure, redirects, and on-page SEO to preserve rankings.
 
Squarespace is usually better for SEO than Wix, but if organic traffic is the main goal, a well optimized wordpress setup would still beat both.

its not that switching would benefit you in organic traffic. If you have a news site then I thing wp is better. Rest depends on client decision.
 
Switching platforms won’t boost traffic unless you also fix content, SEO, and site speed:rolleyes:
 
Between the two, Squarespace is a bit better for SEO, but WordPress is still the strongest for organic traffic.
 
I prefer squarespace to move site from WordPress to this platform.

When that is so, whey many successful people who have money not have the free wordpress.org cms and buy the VIP package from wordpress.com?

And when that is so, why all big media newspapers not use wordpress.com VIP package they use cms systems who cost something like $15000 every month?

Why? There is a reason behind all this.
 
If they really want to move, Webflow or Squarespace are solid. But don’t expect traffic to magically go up just from switching.
