Facebook declares war on spammers?

Well I am a smalltime fish and I am not scamming or phishing or anything like that. I just "advertised" for some emailsubmits on wallposts and yet they still go after me. I am Europe-based so not US. If you see my last post they actually want me to give up the money I made with it. Can they proof how much I made through facebook as I also used some offers on other websites.

I got a C&D too.. not for spamming.. but for misusing facebook on one of my blackhat sites.

I can confirm the letter was written similar to those posted in this thread.

You guys are so gullable.....number 1. If Facebook or their attoney sent this letter it would be sent certified or served by a processor. A C&D is not legal unless delivered and signed for.

2. If they sent you this letter they already know all of the groups /pages/profiles you have been using.

3. The only LEGAL claim they would have is if you are sending messages through their system that have malicious code. Sending a message through facebook messenger is not SPAM. Read the SPAM act. It has to be sent directly to the persons email address. Promoting someones fanpage or group is not illegal or against Facebook policy unless you are using fake accounts to do so. Then they would have to prove you are using fake accounts.

Either you are telling a lie just to scare people or someone is pulling your leg. Call the number on the notice to see if it is a real company. You also mentioned you have only 5 accounts with 5000 each??????? LMAO they will not come after you for that. If facebook gets rid of all of the fake accounts they will have 250mil-300mil instead of 500mil which will lower the value of their company. They are simply ACTING like they are concerned with privacy beause of the attention they are getting.

To my big surprise to my home address i got a letter from Perkins Coie,company that has recently received a litigation against spammers on Facebook Sanford Wallace $711 million.
This is just briefly from me:

We represent Facebook,Inc based in Palo Alto,California.It has come to our attention that you are:

1.Create multiple or fake accounts on Facebook.
2.Sending unsolicited commercial email messages ( spam ) through the facebook network to facebook users.
3.Creating multiple groups for the sole purpose of furthering your spamming and scraping scheme.
4.Using personal profiles for commercial gain.
5.Stop using automated means such as scripts or scrapers without Facebook permission.

Facebook demands that you immediately cease and desist this activity.
Your activity is illegal,fraudulent and violates Facebook s statement of rights and responsibilities.

Should you choose to ignore this letter or continue your current improper conduct,facebook will take necessary measures to enforce its rights,maintain the quality of its site,and protect its users.

Starts off as a list of activities - ends as a list of instructions

Actually I'm sure it is a summary, also got a letter from them. I checked the emailheaders and everything. They are legit.
I responded to the C&D and got another reply yesterday.
They clearly got some inside information from CPA companies. (personal info)
Just waiting how this will turn out in the end.

I'm also banned from FB for a year.. but they havent disabled my account yet, like they said they would...

How did you work out how much money you made from FB as opposed to elsewhere. What moderation processes did you go through to agree on this sum?

How do they know what the private transactions are? (i.e those made in secure servers outside FB after first using FB to find contacts, tribe ads etc)
Are they illegaly snooping your and your customers private transaction records with third party FB advertisers and affiliates?(they aren't allowed to - it's illegal)

How are they getting that money back to the RIGHTFUL owners. As they are legally obliged to do. (Not Facebook T&C but INTERNATIONAL LAW, that walks all over FB terms and conditions when it comes to prescident)

This is full of shit, and several of those posting on this site in favour of it know damn well that it is.

The letters referred to on the internet are NOT about spamming. They are about account jacking and identity theft. Where is this Spamming letter?

So many things said in this thread are fishy.

On any forum with "blackhat" in the title (any many others besides) you have to think about the type of neighbourhood you are entering.

If someone states a method is earning a shedload of money it more than likely is dead, why else would they be publicising it rather than guarding the method with their life to avoid saturation and using it be quietly rich beyond their wildest dreams?

If someone states a method is dead or is using scare tactics (like here), more than likely it is profitable and worth looking into as an income revenue.

At least that is my take on it.

It is like poker when the opponent thinks they are smart for bluffing but always bluffs thus making their moves transparent. Whatever they say/do the opposite is true.

It is telling that not one request for a scanned letter has made it's way into the thread.
