To my big surprise to my home address i got a letter from Perkins Coie, company that has recently received a litigation against spammers on Facebook Sanford Wallace $711 million.
This is just briefly from me:
We represent Facebook,Inc based in Palo Alto,California. It has come to our attention that you are:

3.Creating multiple groups for the sole purpose of furthering your spamming and scraping scheme.
4.Using personal profiles for commercial gain.
5.Stop using automated means such as scripts or scrapers without Facebook permission.
Facebook demands that you immediately cease and desist this activity.
Your activity is illegal, fraudulent and violates Facebook s statement of rights and responsibilities.

SOMEONE GOT LETTER LIKE THIS EVER?
If this is the actual letter - word for word perfect. Then it's a FAKE
Read the list. It changes tense, tone, subject and object during the 5 points.
Expect a "fine" at some point in the future - say $50 to $100 bucks "clear the evidence of your fraud from facebook. this is a final warning, do it again and we will turn it over to our lawyers"
Starts off as a list of activities - ends as a list of instructions
you are;
1.Create multiple or fake accounts on Facebook.
"
you are create" ?? Not English
2.Sending unsolicited commercial email messages ( spam ) through the facebook network to facebook users.
Fair enough (more or less)
3.Creating multiple groups for the sole purpose of furthering your spamming and scraping scheme.
What do they know of you "scraping" scheme. Bollox.
4.Using personal profiles for commercial gain.
Which is not a problem as long as it is open
5.Stop using automated means such as scripts or scrapers without Facebook permission.
"You are stop using automated means" ?? (Not English) Facebook would never "give permission" to use scrapers. The last part of this sentence is redundant and would not be used by Facebook
A transparent and unprofessional attempt at extortion by someone who is looking to make money out of scared noob facebook marketers.
Opinions are fine -
but I'm very suspicious about those who are strongly claiming this to be a real threat.
It's clearly poorly written crap that a massive company like FB would not send out (or employ a 3rd party to send out on their behalf)
Just a note to no-one in particular. Don't try and scam BHW members.
That really is a pricks trick.
To the OP - assuming he or she really cares (cough)...Send an e-mail back telling them to feck off
Scritty
