Hi, can you suggest what region I should start my campaign in?

I am looking to get the most clicks and real traffic; here is a list of countries. Which one will you suggest?:

UNITED STATES
CANADA
FRANCE
GERMANY
SPAIN

Majority Pinterest users are in the US.

Unless you're selling something, I would recommend Pinterest ads. The ads are expensive and they also send bots sometimes. At least from my short experience.

How can I prevent bot traffic when setting up the campaign?

If budget allows, start with the US since it tends to bring high traffic on Pinterest, then test Canada or Spain to compare cost and engagement.

Thanks, I will do but how do I prevent bots?

You can reduce bots by targeting more specific interests, using detailed demographics, and avoiding overly broad audiences. Also, keep an eye on analytics and block suspicious traffic early.
Thanks for the tip. I will keep you posted on my results.

The United States is the best choice, since Pinterest traffic there is largest, ad costs convert better, and users show stronger purchase intent compared to other regions.

  • If you want maximum traffic and clicks for less costSpain is the best starting point.
  • If you want quality leads and stronger purchasing power but still somewhat affordable → France or Canada.
  • If budget isn’t an issue and you want the highest-value trafficUnited States.

I tested Pinterest ads a while ago and noticed the platform requires a lot of trial and error compared to Facebook. Creative images really matter here, since users scroll for inspiration rather than products directly. Targeting interests worked better than keywords in my case. Tracking conversions was tricky, so I had to rely on multiple analytics sources to measure performance.

If your goal is clicks and conversions, I’d start with the US since the audience is bigger and more active on Pinterest. You can test other regions later once you see how the campaign performs.
