Best platform to start blogging other than Wordpress?

Medium, LinkedIn, or Quora might be good alternatives. They have existing authority, so your content can rank well without needing backlinks. Worth considering?

Medium new algorithm is hard to succeed at the moment. But yes I have tried Medium in the past.
 
Try Medium or Substack — both have strong domain authority and rank well without backlinks.
They’re great for beginner visibility and SEO with zero audience.
Once you build traffic, you can funnel readers to your own site later.
 
I feel you platforms with built-in discovery can be great for immediate results, while blogging sometimes feels like shouting into the void untiil your DA is built up. My blog script is 100% custom code, and is a ultra lightweight speed machine compared to a WP site. The blogs rank too but you have to put in the grind.

Let me explain: you can post a video on YouTube with 0 followers and get more than 13k views. Now, when it comes to blogging on WordPress, you have to build backlinks just to rank and still not get those numbers.

That is the reason am looking for a better alternative that would rank on its own.

You are investing on developing authority of blog. When that is made, the expenses on backlinks will be reduced.

What CMS are you using?
 
I see your point, getting instant traffic like YouTube isn’t easy with blogging. Medium or Substack can help early on since they already rank well. But for long-term growth and control, WordPress is still the best bet if you’re ready to invest in SEO and good content.
 
You can't compare a CMS with a social media platform. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or X will bring some views and traffic, but a blog won't, your blog is an individual website, not linked with a whole platform connecting millions or billions of people. The suggestion above, about paying for a guest post or using a social media to publish your content, is decent enough

I have invested already one year later still no results.
