[JOURNEY] My Journey to Grow and Monetize a JAV Tube Website - Got My Very First $531 Within 2 Months

From what I learnt, Jav websites are obviously scalable, and very easy to do that. Once you have enough Jav database from the previous website(s), we just need to open another website, mirroring the previous one. Keep repeating the same stuffs. Just make sure they have their own server, brand name, unique logo, tweaks to make them unique, etc. I asked the zerobytecode team (the team behind wpjav) to create several custom WP themes for me that work well with wpjav. All this to avoid duplicate issues. Also, to do A/B testing and open for other audience. Just never rely on just one JAV website.

I also notice that my Jav website competitors also do the same since long time ago, and they all are well-known jav tube brands right now (I assume you all know what jav tube brand I mean).

Right now, I have around 25+ Jav websites.

= My Updates on Monetization Strategies​

1. I left HilltopAds for good on April 2025. The main reason is, they kept reducing the rate whenever I put direct advertising banners on my site. Seemed like they want to be exclusive partner when their rates are shit. Another reason is, they increased the min. payout sum from $20 to $50. This is not a good fit for my smaller jav sites. I'm looking for HilltopAds alternatives, anyone can suggest? Very appreciate it.
2. Of all 25+ jav websites I'm currently running, only around seven websites are making enough money to cover all of the costs. The seven websites mainly got earnings from direct advertising banners just from one partner. This partner is a big casino brand, globally popular (even IPO). They have smaller casino brands they want to promote. So they contract each one of the seven websites to exclusively promote each one of those smaller casino brands, exclusively. I can't tell how much money they pay monthly for each website as this is part of the contracts.
3. Around 12 other websites are making money through exclusive content monetization strategy via monthly subscriptions ($7.99 per month). The content itself is not exclusive at all, but my users can enjoy it in multiple qualities from 480 to 4K with faster video playback, no annoying ads, and can be downloaded freely. Surprisingly, my users heavily watching the older jav videos that are rare. So roughly, these 12 websites can generate $7.99 * 12 = $95.88 monthly just from one paid user.
4. As for the rest, no monetization is made right now. They're acting as backup websites for now. So whenever a site's traffics are down (due to DMCA, Google Deindexed, Technical issues, etc), I will redirect all traffics to these backup websites.
5. I become one of the official resellers of Internet Download Manager (IDM). Yes, the legend tool! I can encourage the visitors to buy IDM so they be able to download all of the jav videos on my jav websites. (Small margins but sustainable).
6. I also promote VPN as an affiliate. Doesn't make much money though, but putting a small banner won't hurt.

= Technical-related Journey​

1. WordPress mostly can be a pain in the ass. One of my top sites got hacked around March to April. First, the hackers changed my HilltopAds scripts to theirs. Secondly, suddenly I have many Japanese pages indexed on Google, and some russian letters promoting casino. I know I can't blame WordPress for this, but just a side note, be careful with what plugins you install. Check whether they are regularly maintained or not.
2. DMCA, Google Deindexing, Cloudflare, server and domain registrar are serious things to be careful with. Once you start having many traffics, you are targeted. Mostly from legal agencies directly contact either Cloudflare, my server or domain registrar to take down my site.
3. Telegram occasionally will suspend my channels due to copyright issues. Sometimes they will kindly contact me to contact the reporter as shown in the screenshot below:
   
4. For the conclusion, I'd recommend to have as many jav websites as you can run yourself (or with a small team), so they will back themselves up whenever an unavoidable thing happens.

= Tech stack and other plans outside JAV website business​

1. I'm still using WordPress.
2. I'm still relying on wpjav, not because it's the best and perfect solution, but because it's the only thing I found that does the job for my use case.
3. For on-page SEO, I switched Yoast SEO with SlimSEO. Yoast SEO got bundled with craps and slowed down my sites with repeatedly requesting to their external servers.
4. I'm preparing to leave traffics from Google. I will focus more on other search engines such as duckduckgo, yandex, etc. Then, I will take advantage of my existing telegram and discord channels for direct traffics from the existing users.
5. Asides from jav websites, I started a movie & tv show streaming website yesterday. Again, I use WP since I'm good enough with it and the only CMS I'm familiar with, and the plugin + theme is sceneflix by zerobytecode. It has similar functionality like wpjav, such as grab movie and tv show data via TMDB (using TMDB API we can get for free). It has auto post feature as well, like adding movie and tv show TMDB IDs in the text area, then the plugin will use cron to auto post the website for every 15 - 24 hours (depending on what I choose). Looks promising so far, I will make a Journey thread in the next several months dedicated for this movie streaming site.
6. Last month I started a new blog, dedicated to only write about AI-powered tools. Similar to ProductHunt, but only for AI-powered tools/services. I'm targeting the new, lesser-known tools. I started getting impressions on Google Search Console, but still a loooonnnggggg way to go.

My experience with them is just like a romance relationship, ups and downs, happy and sad all mixed up. I suspect that the team consists of just solo or a couple of developers due to their replies to fixing things (took longer time to fix everything up). But overall, as long as everything works fine, I'll just shut up and keep them do the good work for my use case. Of all 25+ jav sites I've published, all of them are using wpjav. You can say that I'm now depending on them. Even if there's an alternative, it'd be overkill for me to revamp everything up.

Yes, I'm still using Doodstream, Streamtape, etc services alike. I tried some experiments using Cloudinary and Cloudflare Stream. Not live on production deployment, just testing. All seems good, but their violation policy will kill me sooner than I will know. Yes correct, intrusive ads from third-party platforms can hurt SEO. But from what I notice, the ads only show when people start watching the video. They will popup, open in new tab, new window, etc. This will prevent my site to get bad first impression when the visitors first arrive at the site from Google, thus reducing drop off rate. Since they will watch the video, the good news is they will stay at the page watching, thus increase the time spent rate.

So far that I've learnt, it's not impacting the SEO directly, but obviously impacting the user experience. To combat this, I offer membership plan (no ads, exclusive content, etc), and Doodstream also offers premium bandwidth (videos without ads) which I can purchase with my existing balance.

I can't say that I'm satisfied with Epik.com. At the very least, they will still notify us first with warnings, unlike namecheap or godaddy that wiped out my domain from the internet without any notice. In my experience, DMCA will always attack, and Google will deindex my URLs from Google SERP. The only thing I did was keep changing the domain, in GSC confirm site address moving, and redirect 301 to new domain whenever we still have time (Epik.com will warn us first, on the other hand, namecheap and godaddy just wiped out the domain so I didn't have time to do migration).

Also, some domain registrars like Porkbun, will inquire us to do National ID + Face selfie for verification, what a joke!

While defensing from DMCA and Google attacks, just ditch Google, keep purchasing the backup domains from various registrars, keep doing backups, and keep searching or building traffic source channels.

Why did you choose Epik as your provider? Do they offer DMCA-ignored, offshore, or bulletproof domain options?

Epik doesn't offer DMCA-ignored or bulletproof domain protection (as far as I know, no registrars on the planet provides a bulletproof domain protection). As I told you above, it's much better than namecheap, godaddy, and especially porkbun.

HestiaCP, I'm used to it.

They reached out to me directly via my website contact form. I think they select the websites on their own. But if they agree to work with you, they will ask you whether you have other sites you control. Then just tell them the sites (preferably other niches), and they will check them using seo tools such as ahrefs, semrush, etc, and offer the prices. In my case, I just prepare a Google Lookup Studio with view access, to showcase my sites' traffics.

I have experience in web development, especially wordpress which I'm pretty good of. So if I need changes, I can do it manually especially with chatgpt for help.

I have a very old PHP script on my server which I bought from codecanyon years ago. I hosted my jav site inside the same server. So I suspect that the old PHP script was exploited, then they accessed the jav site's directory.

To prevent, right now I just host one site on one VPS. Activated WP security plugins in combination with Cloudflare etc. Nothing special really. I activated WP core and plugins auto update, and use only well-maintained plugins (very few plugins I'm using).

Only the top sites have their own brand names with their respective TLDs. The rests that are not making money are just backups. But I preserve brand name TLD variations, park them on Epik.com.

I just changed the URL, then redirect the old to new URL.

No, there's no options to control subtitle in sceneflix similar to wpjav, and no audio change control as well. They only provide placeholders for custom movie/tv show server and subtitle field (up to three fields). The sceneflix plugin is automatically pairing the tmdb ID with video streaming services like vidsrc, 2embed, etc. This is what I've been looking for for years. So I can immediately start a movie streaming site with wordpress without having to do most tasks manually (like download and reuploading videos to doodstream, etc). They just pair each movie and tv show with vidsrc, 2embed, etc depending on what we choose (as per their documentation, they are 8 links with sceneflix integration-ready).

Just purchase lifetime license of internet download manager (IDM), download jav videos on competitors sites, and reupload to doodstream, streamtape, etc.

I also purchased some harddisks and ssd's to backup them up offline, just in case.
