Yes and yes. Not trying to be a smart-ass, but really, the answers are yes - the program still has in-built ability to harvest, test, and use freely available (and heavily-used) proxies; and yes - finding some of your own will increase the speed and effectiveness of the program.

You could start off with the in-built scrapeable proxies for learning purposes, and they're still okay (though slower) for things like scraping the search engines, but for maximum warp speed getting your own set or source will really make your better.

peace - gregs.

@yesman22 & mikemeth: check your emails in spam/junk/bulk folder too. You should have received a link to download right after purchasing. Run it up and Click Activate.

Whenever i try to harvest site: or inurl: it simply says on gogole error, i have like 200 working proxies from it and for 10 min it scan and errors and then it stops checking is there a way around, also if I private proxy it will do the same thing after some time, won't it?
Can someone pls answer :)

What error code # is reported when it stops? You'll see the error code in the right-most column in the harvester results window.

By the statement "200 working proxies from it" I take it you are using the scrapeable proxies sbox can find, is that correct?

I am using both from scrapebox and from some different sources, still the same thing, but these are free proxies an it shows error 300 or something like that, but without site: it works great.

I just purchased a proxy subscription to get 10 private ones a month so I am closer to world domination.

My question what are you guys using for decaptcha services?

Those error code #'s are standard HTTP error codes. There is no HTTP error 300, so I guess it's "something like that", but without the actual error code it's a bit hard to diagnose. I did notice in another thread that someone said some of the goog search operands have been twitchy recently.

decaptcher.com

They're okay, in my experience they have their good days and they have their bad days.

Just a dumb question:
Is your IE allowed to access the internet or is it blocked in the FW?
SB use components of IE to post to BlogEngine blogs (slow poster), so when IE is bad, SB will not be able to post.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have no Firewall, and even when I never use IE and it's working that might be something to look at. I know they have all kind of annoying security enabled by default. I'll set it to lowest security everywhere and try to post again. Thanks again!

I think it is 303 error, it works sometimes and doesn't sometimes.

I see here that people are scraping 65k or so links.... How long does that take? :)

Also it might be the free proxies that I have scraped lately, but i am not getting the love that I had before from the slow poster.... I have it set to time out at 30 seconds... Is there a better setting?

i am trying to post in manual mode in blog engine, how can i edit comments in that? i did see the vids but could not find much help in this matter.

I bought this, but I paid $100, lol.
I just need to figure out how to harvest links using it and use the links in xRumer. I heard the support is good so I'll contact them.

I'm using "google.xx" as the google source on scrapebox (lower left corner on SB) and it's scraping a lot English results and very few for the TLD that I tried it with.

Try
google.xx-yy

Where the second part is the languagecode.

For example google.de-de would search in google.de and only german sites.

But im not fully sure of the syntax. Maybe a space before the -?

Anyway thats probably the way to go...

another question..

I used the google KW tool and have 100 words I want to scrape for, the issue is google only lets you save as CSV and I dont see where Scrapebox can accept CSV? Any insight how to get these 100 words entered?

Half way through my blasts, I always get this error: "We encountered an error and will have to abort posting"

Anyone else getting this error? Sometimes it happens shortly after starting.

Any fix to this?
