Many people doing affiliate, POD, or dropshipping still don’t know how to use TikTok to drive free traffic. Besides using TikTok Shop or adding a cart, you can also attract views and free traffic with the right strategy. I’ll break it down simply in this post - just a short read with practical tips
First, you need to define who you’re targeting - what they need and like. For example, people aged 18–25 will think and behave differently from those aged 35–45. Also, you should pick one niche for your TikTok channel. One channel should focus on one main topic, not too many. TikTok shows videos on a user's feed based on their interests. So, if your channel sticks to a single topic, it helps TikTok send your videos to the right people.
It’s easy to create a TikTok account. You just need a phone number or email that hasn’t been used yet. But if you want to create an account targeting a different country, try these tips:
TikTok decides who sees your video based on many factors, such as location, video content, sound, and user comments. You can repost videos or create original ones - your goal is to go viral and reach more people.
At the start, post more often - 2 to 3 videos per day. Why? If you post too little at first, TikTok may think you're not serious about your channel. Best times to post (U.S. time):

Posting tip: On the first day, post 3 videos (morning – noon – night). See which one gets the most views. On day 2, post 1–2 videos around that same time. Once your channel grows steadily:
1. Understand your target audience
2. Create TikTok accounts
It’s easy to create a TikTok account. You just need a phone number or email that hasn’t been used yet. But if you want to create an account targeting a different country, try these tips:- On your phone: Change your IP (use a VPN or proxy for the target country), and change your region and language settings to match the country. Make sure the VPN is on when posting videos.
- For multiple accounts: Changing IPs is very important so TikTok doesn’t flag you.
3. How to grow your TikTok?
TikTok decides who sees your video based on many factors, such as location, video content, sound, and user comments. You can repost videos or create original ones - your goal is to go viral and reach more people.- List out 30–50 video ideas (based on your niche). Stick to one niche per channel. For example, if your channel is about pets, just post pet-related content.
- Prepare 20 videos in advance so you can post consistently at the beginning.
4. Posting schedule
At the start, post more often - 2 to 3 videos per day. Why? If you post too little at first, TikTok may think you're not serious about your channel. Best times to post (U.S. time):- Monday: 6am, 10am, 11pm
- Tuesday: 2am, 4am, 9am
- Wednesday: 6am, 8am, 11am
- Thursday: 9am, 12pm, 7pm
Friday: 5am, 1pm, 3pm - Saturday: 11am, 7pm, 9pm
- Sunday: 7am, 8am, 4pm
- You can reduce the number of posts, but try to keep at least 5 posts per week
- Keep posting consistently. Many channels fail by week 2 because they stop posting.
- Use analytics to find your best posting time
5. Optimize your channel
- Content: Have a clear concept. Keep your message consistent. Focus on making the first 3–5 seconds really engaging.
- Thumbnail: Make it look clean and professional.
- Profile:
- Pick a friendly, easy-to-search name
- Use a profile photo that matches your niche. Don’t use your Facebook avatar or show logos from other platforms (TikTok may limit your reach).
- Add a link in your bio. Create a landing page and add links to your other channels. Make sure your landing page looks good and works well.
- Hashtags: Use 3–5 relevant hashtags to help users find your content when they search.
