$1 Million+ a Year on Etsy: My 7-Year Journey of Success [AMA]!

Isn't Etsy KYC? I remember being on a discord server and people having different ways to create new accounts after they get banned. So does the KYC not matter or there isn't any in the first place?

Also is Etsy still profitable and would you say it will continue to be profitable in the future?

Thank you sır can you check DM please :)

I tried a few Etsy account sellers none of them worked for me :)
Any chance you could share more information on your Etsy account registration opening method. What are the most important things you should consider opening an account. What should you avoid.?

This thread is pure gold. Best of luck on your etsy ventures!

thank you for all information you wrote. I also feel that the forum lacks detailed information on how to position products effectively on Etsy.
I have the following questions, and I’d really appreciate your answers. I’m focused on getting my products to rank in the top positions.
in your opinion, what’s the most important factor when it comes to product positioning? I know you mentioned SEO, the right pricing, and possibly reviews/ratings of the shop. Is there anything else?
To summarize, after adding a new product:
  • I set an appropriate price, aligned with the average for that type of product.
  • I create an appropriate description. In your opinion, does the description matter, or are the titles more important? one of the guides on youtube recommended avoiding commas in titles to let Etsy mix up the words in the title. Have you heard about this? Do descriptions and tags play a big role?
  • Does adding products to the cart from other accounts help push the listing higher?
  • Is there anything else that can help improve the listing’s rank?
how difficult do you think it is to promote a shop with just a few sales to the top positions? I know it depends on many factors, including the difficulty of the keyword, but as we know, most shops don't understand SEO. So, in general, is it hard to reach the first pages if you know the right methods?

also, do you think completing the shop information on the shop's homepage helps with positioning listings?

Thanks!

Would there be a difference on opening a Europe based Etsy Seller account to a US Etsy Seller account? I don't understand in the above for US accounts and llc etc. I have my own business and physical product in Europe. Just want to know if there would be a difference if I went and got a US account and llc?

I used to open Etsy account 5 years ago, but it failed as it is said the products I sold not belong to DIY goods, do you have some advice to open new Etsy account successfully? I want to sell porcelain. Thank you very much for your answer in advance
Its a good niche about competition but im not sure about the demand you just have to becarefull about shipping and you have to do unique products and sell them for good prices because i really didnt see much porcelain sellers if you do it good you can earn good too.
Do you have a pdf or doc of the details... I have a little cash for ads I can use to get it started. DM me...
I'm texting you from dm sir
This information is GOLD! and has helped me a lot - thank you!

I've been fairly successful on Etsy but recently my rankings on my most popular products took a hit and I had no idea why. A while back I lowered my prices thinking it would help my sales but it never dawned on me that lowering my prices too much would affect my rankings. So glad I stumbled on this post by OP

Sometimes etsy plays with algorithm and a bunch of pages gets fown because of it they ussualy doing this in december, maybe thats why, and they also closed too much pages again in this december top, is yours still active?

By ''using pinterest to increase traffic'' - you are posting photo there by yourself? Or you are using bloggers, influencers?
Im working with someone that i found on fiverr its cheap and brings good results

There is a few guys that using softwares to pass etsy KYC but i dont use it, and etsy is still too much profitable if you doing everything true you just have to check it with softwares and manually, like check the sales of the page that selling the products that caught your attention chack their reviews about what they doing wrong, do it better and list the products spend a little time on it and see it by yourself. there is no such a thing or software that will directyl give you the product, its changing evolving going down or up, you have to experience it.

If you ever got suspended never never use the same informations about this suspended page and dont use the same internet and device thats it

I would say first thing important is title after that tags and the last thing is description and im not using commas too.

Add to cart helps a lot but you cant do it yourself because etsy will underdtand it and not help your product eben maybe you can get a suspend because of it

At this point the thing i would reccomend for you is to get fake sales and reviews by from someone proffr.sional and dont afraid to spend money on etsy ads at least give 5-10 usd daily in a month you will see the diffefence if everything is perfect like you said

The usa and Ilc thing was for the people that lives in a country ehere etsy is not allowed you can just open it if your cokntry is allowed. but there is no any research or anything like that but the pages opened in usa is not getting suspend easy compared to other countries

Goodluck OP. I no longer with Etsy. Too much competition and their ridiculous Etsy ads pricing

I'm using Etsy ads, fake but organic add to carts (no bots) and fake purchases with reviews (all from Real customers buying organic) also using pinterest to increase traffic.
Can you elaborate on the add to carts that’s what I am wanting as well as the reviews - thanks

Hi everyone, I've been following this forum for a long time, and the high-quality content here has really caught my attention. As someone who has never participated in or posted on any forums before, this is my first time sharing something in a forum. I noticed a significant lack of information about Etsy in particular within this group, and I wanted to fill this gap by posting an [AMA] to answer everyone's questions and provide help.

Let me introduce myself: I've been selling on Etsy since 2017 and have opened, closed, and managed numerous stores over the years. During the pandemic in 2020, Etsy experienced incredible growth, and I started earning millions of dollars in a year during and after pandemic. My monthly income has exceeded more than $150,000 in a month. In this journey, I've gained extensive experience in selling both digital and physical products (currently, most of my products are physical). I've learned and experienced too much details about ETSY, from its algorithm to successful products.

I'd be happy to answer questions from those considering starting on Etsy, those who are already selling, and even those operating at a professional level. I'd also enjoy reading and learning from the information shared here by users of BHW. Based on my experience and knowledge, I will do my best to help and answer. However, the time I can dedicate to forums is limited to 1-2 hours a day. During this time, I'll try to respond to as many of your questions as possible.

I want to emphasize that I have no intention of promoting or selling courses or anything here. My sole aim is to share what I've learned and support those who are currently selling or planning to start selling.

Lastly, I want to share an example to show the potential of Etsy: A new store I opened last week generated $14,000 in revenue in just one week. I'm not sharing this to brag or prove anything but simply to provide confidence in the legitimacy of what I'm saying.

Feel free to ask me anything about Etsy; I'm here to help without hesitation.
What are the 3 top tips that you can offer- add to carts …???
