Hello,

I have some questions regarding my use of proxies for my Instagram accounts.

For context, I’ve been using Jarvee to manage multiple main accounts (around ten) for several years. I use at least 5 scrapers per main account and rely on French 4G proxies for all my accounts. I’m considering switching my scrapers to a different location than France.

Overall, it works quite well, but occasionally, I get Instagram notifications on my main accounts.

However, last week, all my main accounts got suspended. Thankfully, I was able to recover them all. Since then, I’ve been wondering: are 4G proxies really the best option for main accounts? After discussing with some providers, they suggested I try French static residential proxies instead.

Here are my questions:

  • For scrapers, is it necessary to use French proxies if my main accounts are French and I’m based in France?
  • For scrapers, do I absolutely need mobile proxies? This has often been strongly recommended to me.
  • For main accounts in France, should I opt for mobile or static residential proxies?
  • In your opinion, is it risky to use shared mobile proxies for main accounts?
If you have any providers to recommend, please feel free to share them. Currently, I’m using AnyIp and HypeProxy. I tried signing up with BrightData, but they require a prior meeting for using mobile proxies, and I think they weren’t too keen on what I wanted to do. I’m hesitant to try again, but I’m considering it because their proxies seem really premium.

Thanks.

Are you sure you're focussing on the correct anti-detect parameters?

Omg, I don't know who you've been talking to, but they want to rip you, and take advantage of you

NO! Whoever told you that eother they don't know what they're talking about, or they want to take advantage of you.

No, here you can use whatever country you want. Mobile preferred but residential can work too BUT woth residential you will have more bans that's for sure!

No, read above.

Mobile 4g/5g
In your opinion, is it risky to use shared mobile proxies for main accounts?
Of course, shared mobile are very bad. You don't know how many person's are using same IP as you, and how they abused it. If they get banned, you get too even if you didn't do anything wrong with your account.

What is your niche?

What do you mean by that? That there might be a bigger factor than proxies that determines whether I get detected or not? That’s possible, indeed, but I still stick to Instagram’s limits fairly well, if not less. I don’t follow more than 100 people per day, and at my peak, I reach a maximum of 350 likes per day, but I’m usually around 250 likes per day with an average of 150 story views. I think many of these parameters could even be increased. I also don’t think this is the decisive factor in certain suspensions, as accounts doing only 30 follows per day have also been suspended.

Do you have any other ideas? It could be interesting to explore.

Thank you very much; you’ve reassured me about all my initial thoughts. It seemed very strange to me that some providers would recommend static residential proxies, even if they’re located in France, because they are still much cheaper proxies. Especially considering that Instagram is usually much more accustomed to 4G mobile connections.

And yet, there’s nothing for them to gain here, given the price of static residential proxies (less than $10/20) compared to mobile proxies, which exceed $50/60. That’s why I didn’t quite understand it.

Do you happen to know any good providers to recommend, by chance?

My niches are quite varied, really. I can have tattooing, lifestyle, beauty, digital communication, jewelry e-commerce… Really a bit of everything.

Thanks again!

For scrapers, using French proxies isn’t absolutely necessary, but it can help maintain consistency with your main accounts. You could experiment with other locations, though staying local may reduce the chances of flags.

Mobile proxies are often recommended for scrapers due to IP rotation and real-user behavior, but static residential proxies could also work depending on your usage.

For your main accounts, both mobile and static residential proxies are good options. Mobile proxies tend to be safer because of the real mobile IPs, but residential proxies can also be reliable. Shared mobile proxies might pose some risks for main accounts, as they are sometimes overused and could be flagged.

It could be useful to check the marketplace for additional proxy providers that meet your needs.
