Hi,
we started recently to advertise on Telegram: addressing folks that are into sports betting, betting tips. So far so good, but the options you have on the Telegram ADS platform are very limited, like really basic. To understand my problem, let me explain the case a bit in details for those who're not familliar with TG.
In Telegram ADS there are literally no segmentation options (country, keywords etc.). You can't target your ads, even scheduling is limited. Only thing left is choosing different channels/bots where you want to advertise in (see screenshot). For that we're experimenting with combinations of Databases (DB), to see where we get better performance. Issue with that is you can't get really intel on channels members or channel itself. I mean if the channels is in Spanish its user from Spanish speaking countries, but user from Spain is much different from Mexicos for example.
What I'm testing is also variations of Ads creatives which are very "basic": no styling, new lines, images - anything. Just text&emojis. So what you're left with is to experiment with Title, body, call to actions, emojis. Creating multiple adverts is also kinda manual.
Was looking for 3rd party tools that could simplify the whole process, provide options to get better insights into data, modify creatives, optimize etc. But nada. Could live&work with all of that, what is making it a pain in the arse is the list overview of the Campaigns (attached). There is no way to compare different variations of Adds running in different Channels/Groups with different DB. For example Original add vs. v1, v2, v3 in DB1 vs. DB2 vs. DB3. A bit more detailed performance metrics can be checked for just a single AD (limited options), but no aggregated view, filters or simillar.
A spreadsheet or smth like it could work maybe, but can't imagine this to work with 100s of Ads and 100s of DBs. Also don't want to "over-engineer" or waste too much time with setup. You guys maybe have an ideas, suggestions what could be used for that, any tools? How do you manages this, had maybe some simmillar exepriences with some other platforms? Congrats if you made it to the end of this long read!
Any input much appreciated.
