YouTube thinks my gaming content is reused

Hello,

Can anyone help me?

My YouTube channel was demontized due to reused content and my appeal was rejected, but I believe it's a mistake. I post gaming content and in my appeal I showed my content creation process in good detail which was how I upload my footage from my console onto my PC and how I record my footage on PC. Which I then showed and talked through how I edit using my editing software. I also showed my other accounts I post my content on because I thought they might think I was taking content from their. But when they rejected it and they said "Appeal didn't demonstrate enough value-add editing." Which means the editing shown in your appeal didn't substantially change the original work. Taking someone else's content and making minimal changes is still violative of our reused content policy.
But like I said this doesn't relate to me because I record my footage and edit it myself.

YouTube says that "video game content may be monetized depending on the commercial use rights granted to you by licenses of video game publishers." But then I'm being told my content is reused but it's my footage which I put into my editor and I do stuff such as key framing, audio adjustments, different types of transitions, adding different text animations and text effects, twixtors, colour correction. Where as there are other YouTube channels who are monetized who upload just raw gameplay.

The videos I make are mainly from companies such as Insomniac Games (Spider-Man) Rockstar Games (Red Dead Series and GTA Series) and Rocksteady (Batman Arkham Series). I'm struggling to find where it says if I'm granted commercial use rights for these games to give YouTube evidence I'm allowed to post this content.

I've seen people contact the YouTube help team on X (Twitter) and YouTube sometimes have another look which I want to happen for me. I want to tell them why my content isn't reused and is this best done by explaining why I have commercial rights to use my footage?

Thank you for your time.
I would be really grateful if someone can help me overcome this situation.

You either have to talk in your videos or use exessive amount of editing. That's the only solution.

Thanks, but there are youtube gaming channels that post just post raw gameplay and are monetized such as MKIceandFire, ZanarAestheticsz, Shirrako and much more.

This is from the YouTube help site. I need to know how I can show my content is not reused like other gaming creators. I also referred to this in the opening message of this thread.

did you add some commentary? you most likely got hit by an automated detector, just add some voice

No I didn't. But there are gaming channels like MKIceandFire, ZanarAestheticsz, Shirrako and much more. Who are monetized. So I need to know how to show YouTube I have commercial rights to use my gaming stuff. On games like Insomniac Games (Spider-Man) Rockstar Games (Red Dead Series and GTA Series) and Rocksteady (Batman Arkham Series). I'm struggling to find where it says if I'm granted commercial use rights for these games to give YouTube evidence I'm allowed to post this content.

Nobody wants to see re-used content with very little effort put in to deem yourself a genuine content creator. Neither does youtube like you found out. Only you want the easy path. I make tutorials on software that I use, and animations for another channel. I'm happy that I never have this duplicate content or low effort problem! :)

If you don't want this problem, I suggest you put the same effort into creating fresh content as you do into wondering why others don't have problems using this terrible method. There is no reason you should care if you want to be a real content creator on YouTube and actually build good-quality channels.

I really don't understand why people re-use others content without really doing anything, lol imagine youtube was only filled with people like you? Nobody would go there. and you wouldn't make any money. Kind of an ironic circle, lol

Thanks, however I spend time making my content and videos take 3-4 hours to make sometimes longer. I record my footage then edit it on After Effects. They are gaming channels like MKIceandFire, ZanarAestheticsz, Shirrako and much more who are monetized for just raw gameplay. All my content is made by me and I'm not taking from other sources. I think because video games are the same thing, they think I'm taking it from them which I'm not. So I want to show I have commercial use to use the games like Insomniac Games (Spider-Man) Rockstar Games (Red Dead Series and GTA Series) and Rocksteady (Batman Arkham Series). Ok, here's the thing. Repeating that other channels get to post raw gaming content without consequence isn't going to help you. Those channels either are doing something to make their videos unique and you need to figure out what it is, or they're slipping through the cracks. It sucks, but this is how content creation and digital marketing go in large. At the end of the day, if you want to solve the problem you're going to have to put some effort in to make each video unique.

Thank you. But I'm not posting raw gameplay, I mainly upload shorts of scenes from games which I edit on After Effects which takes me 3-4 hours to create sometimes longer. I shorten the footage to make it under 1 minute, add key framing to keep what I want in the frame and follow characters movement, audio adjustments to quiten the original game music, 3D camera transitions which involves masking this allows me to reveal another scene, other types of transitions some of them include using graphs to adjust the speed of the transition, adding different text animations such as when the character speaks so the text is in sync with them, text effects to make it aesthetic, twixtors to slow down or speed up specfic parts of the footage, I also add colour correction to improve quality of the footage by making adjustments to things such as the hue, saturation. gradient and more.

Youtube isn't that smart. Either add elements like arrows or text to the videos or voice commentary to make it "unique".

Thanks however, I do add text as stated in the previous message with the other features I add.

without commentary or heavy editing, it falls to "reused". Don't compare yourself to other channels, you're just nothing, unlike them they already have the community.

Why's this particular problem so common recently, I fixed 13 YouTube issues in this last 3 days and 8 of them is literally demonetization.... That's the work of AI, and it's always right, at least, it always have reasons to believe that.... The truth is you have to let us know exactly what's going on if you need help

maybe a sample of your work / video link will help everyone to better understand what's going on.

as many pointing out, usually adding commentary as well as heavily editing works.

by the looks of it, your videos aren't your own gameplay but instead content put out by these companies, edited and reuploaded? or am I getting it wrong?
