Email Marketing Getting Flagged and Reported

Hi there!

I am doing cold email and my campaign on Instantly is getting paused due to bounces.

We clean all of our emails using my email verifier so I know the emails are clean.

We also have done a 21 day warm up on these accounts.

We also give the person a way to opt out and we are CAN SPAM compliant.

Any ideas to keep IP's changing and protect the overall domains , etc?

Bounce can happen when they reject your content, URL, images, ETC., so the following things will help you.
1) Use a reputed image hosting URL like Google, AWS etc.
2) Content Rotation.
3) Bounce handler reputed one like Gmail, office365 ETC.,
4) Subject Rotation.
5) Header MIME
ETC.,

All these things will help you better with bounce.

We have 5 domains with 5 emails on each domain sending 200 daily and working up slowly

1. Validation vs. Deliverability: Services like ZeroBounce confirm if an email address exists and could technically receive emails, but this doesn’t guarantee that the email will actually reach the recipient’s inbox. True deliverability relies on several factors: the sender’s IP reputation, email content quality, and the security filters on the recipient’s server. Simply put, validation means the email exists, but it’s only one part of ensuring your emails get delivered.


2. “Scraping” by Certain Mail Clients: Some corporate clients and advanced security systems automatically “scrape” emails, scanning all incoming messages (even those considered spammy) without actually delivering them to the user’s inbox. This can make it look like the email was delivered, but it was only processed by the system, not read by the recipient.


3. Impact on Your Sender Reputation: Here’s where things get tricky. If many emails are scraped but not opened or engaged with (no clicks, replies, etc.), it can hurt your reputation as a sender. Email providers interpret low engagement as a signal of poor quality, which can lead to your IP or domain being flagged as a potential spam source. Over time, this can reduce your deliverability rate, even for valid recipients.


Bottom Line: Just because an email is validated doesn’t mean it’s truly deliverable. If you’re sending to addresses that often go unengaged, email providers might start classifying you as a spammer. Aim for quality over quantity and keep an eye on engagement to protect your sender reputation!

30-50k is a huge number for sending blackhat emails on a daily basis.

To break it down to send 50k emails a day, you would need the below infrastructure:

Domains: 400
Mailboxes: 2000
Total sends per day per mailbox: 25

Cost of cold email tool (approx): 500-800$ per month odd.
Cost of domains: 400*10$=$4,000.00
Cost of Mailservers: for 2000 mailboxes - 600$

i would recommend 4-5 different servers. Each mailserver would cost you around 150$ per year i.e, 600$ per year. (If IP gets blacklisted, have atleast 2 backup servers getting warmed up )

So you are looking to spend atleast 600$+4000$+500-800$ - think over if you want to send that email volume and if it would be profitable. If everything checks out, go right ahead with the setup. I will provide more info wherever you are caught up.
