Create Website and Sell to Owners (Method that generates $6000 Per Month)

Hi everyone,

That's my first post. I want to share a method from which I personally made $6000 per month. It's simple but you must have to spend some from your pocket.

The idea is simple. Create website for businesses which don't have a website. But the twist is that you have to create a website without getting a project from them.

Let me explain.

1- I use business directories to find businesses with no website.
2- I find the domain name for that business.
3- Create a website on my own hosting by installing a free template.
4- That template must be in the niche of your client.
5- Once the website is created, Contact the client and send that website to them.

These clients are somehow lazy or not tech savvy so they don't focus on creating a website.

But now you have created a full website for them.

Cost:
$12 domain
Hosting is my own on which I can host 100 websites.
Use the free theme and template.

That's all. Your total spending will be less than $20 and you can sell that website to a client for $300 to $500 depending upon their business worth.

It's really easy but you need to stay consistent.

What's your thoughts?
Interesting idea, but it seems like its difficult to get money from their pockets, isn't it?

Thank you for sharing the idea, I like it. Thanks!

Payout for method?
Cash via Mail?
Bitcoin?
SEPA?
Thank you for sharing the idea, I like it. Thanks!

i would rather contact them via email , phone number etc as a new customer saying : lets say i tried to reach you out, or i did order from your website but didnt hear back. this kind of stuff, and let the business owner come to me, if they come your negotiation hand will be much stronger

I did this about 10 years ago. Found a local restaurant with a website but it was very poorly done. I grabbed a theme that was more aligned with their brand and pushed it to a demo/staging area using the theme's demo content, but swapped out to use their logo and name. I found the owner's email using a whois lookup and sent him an email with the demo link. He replied back and we met up to finalize the deal. I think I charged $750 for the site. My only regret is I failed to build a relationship with the owner. I took the money and failed to follow up with him or upsell him on other services I could have provided. Instead, I was too focused on finding the next client.

I also had a similar idea, but with a slightly different case.

One example is that I worked with a family who didn't understand digital marketing. He owns a swimming pool and downstairs business.

One day his boss came to see me and wanted to invite cooperation, where if there are customers obtained from the website, then it is thrown to the boss, then share the profit.

I like the idea. can you please train me for that work if possible?

Your post is missing lot of point and not easy as you write

how are you achieving owned hosting? wouldn't it get serving lots of users slow and costy to maintain? are you also being paid to manage these sites?

in any case, it's a cool example of outbound marketing

Do you have proof of earning this much per month ?

This is a 20 year old method.

Do you know any recent or UP dated method??

I would imagine this would still work. I recommend not trying to sell the same product over and over to many clients, but find a few clients who pay well and try to upsell them services. I sell myself as becoming the client's "web guy". For $x,xxx dollars you can pay me to manage your website, keep the server running, etc... and be available to answer questions you have. Get creative and get a sense of what the client needs and wants. The important thing is to make it worth your time AND provide value to your client so they will want to keep you around.

AI is a hot topic and everybody thinks they need to be using it, so maybe an updated method would be selling folks something involving AI.

Sometimes when the client is big, you can charge big. But the problem is that most of them would already be having a website.
