Amazon Associates Links on Reddit

Has anyone successfully posted amazon associate links on reddit? I did a search on reddit and it seems as if noone has been successful.

Have two way redirect links been working at all?

Any help would be extremely appreciated. There are old topics on this but bot reddit and amazon have changed their detections.

If you're posting an amazon affiliate link in a discussion on a subreddit that you don't own/control, your post will get deleted and your account might even get banned if you are a repeat offender.

If you're promoting an amazon link, your best bet would be to create a subreddit and cross post HIGH QUALITY CONTENT that is NICHE-targeted and PROBLEM-targeted to EXTREMELY relevant hand picked subreddits.

This content must have no links.

Once you build up your subreddit's viewership and reader base, you can then post content ONLY for that subreddit which contains affiliate links AS LONG AS you specifically mention these are affiliate links and that you are going to get paid if they buy off your link.

I think posting direct links to reddit wont work. I think it has to be a redirect.

I think you will get this response, "We noticed that you are not using tracking IDs associated with your store in any of the Amazon Special Links you have created on your website. As a result of this, we were unable to determine the source of traffic. This violates our Program Policies. Please review the application review process and policies in the link here."

Buy domain, set up a URL redirect, use it. Frequently change the domain or it'll get banned.

OR, reply to posts. This works best for "hacks" type things, like someone wants to buy MagicKeys to trade but you can reply that they're getting ripped off. Instead of spending like $200 just buy the same keypad from Amazon for $20 and use their software because that's the exact keypad they use, they just toss some stickers on it. Now you got a bunch of people who want your post to stay up, so no one's going to report it.

OR, combine both methods. Setup a legitimate website that recommends products, and then advertise that website on Reddit rather than the products directly. That's how I did drop shipping with porn sites. The porn site was just the ad, and all the banners went to sites I owned. You don't need to directly link to Amazon.

I have tried pushing a blog page to a 3rd party site but direct links has an incredibly higher rate for me.

People were buying products from banners of porn sites you linked out to? That's incredible.

It's not worth it! Not only your accounts will start to get banned fast, but there is also a chance Amazon won't pay you your money at all once they see the traffic is coming from Reddit

You most likely won't have any luck doing this unless you look at it as a long term project and build an entire subreddit up from scratch that you can monetize in the future... In my opinion, it's not worth the time at all.

An alternative is growing an account or subreddit with relevant content around the niche, then promote your website on your profile/own subreddit and with any other occasion in comment replies - and have your website monetized with Amazon affiliate links.

Yeah this was essentially my thought. I was hoping I could have the amazon links directly redirect to the amazon product page.

I have 3-4 established subreddits. I was hoping there was a work around for linking directly as closing from a blog is much more difficult than linking directly to the product.

The domain gets banned from Reddit. They'll shadowban any post with the URL. Amazon doesn't care.

Yeah people buy things off porn site banners. Honestly a bit confused why you'd think that's incredible; I mean that's why adult toy stores buy ads on porn sites. I just consolidated it and ran both the porn site and the drop ship store. That way when people purchased items, rather than getting a penny or whatever for the click, I got the entire drop ship margin.
