My client wants to push their bespoke kitchen design services to rank on local maps above all else. They operate a multi-offering business with an existing GBP for the main store (includes a wide product range) and another for an in-house café, both at the same address. Map based (GBP) Competitors are dominating using “Kitchen Renovator” as their primary category.

Questions:

• Would creating a separate GBP specifically for the kitchen design services (same address) help boost local visibility?

What country is this for? In USA we do not have "Kitchen Renovator" category

Yes, it is a different category/vector so you would need a different GBP and most likely a new website. You'd need to build out the entity for the kitchen renovation part of the business.

You can put a suite # as part of the address and then use a different phone number, but you'll still probably need to go through video verification.

If it is the same business if Google doesn't suspend it immmeidatley - or a competior flags them as duplicate then both could go down. Very risky stragtegy to try to open two GMB's for same business at same address - you could risk suspension of all the GMB's
