What’s your way of using WordPress?

I just read this article and I see daily so many different views on how things should be built, what themes should be used, what plugins are the best, what to avoid, etc.

I’ve worked out my own workflow that works well for me and that I believe is one of the better ways but I’m curious to hear the opinions of others on the forum.

I know some like to do headless WP, some (read: a lot) like to go the elementor route, and others are using page builders like breakdance, oxygen, bricks, etc.

I’m interested not just to hear a list of themes/plugins people use, but WHY they use them compared to other alternatives.

I like elementor because it’s fairly flexible but also easy to manage (for myself as a technically proficient person but not a coder).

The whole article is created in an outdated way as it uses text which is not going to work in 2040.

Apart from that, I think blogger is a good replacement for WordPress because it cannot be hacked and backups are inside of it out of the box. Can be, but it's not that simple to hack Google without some... keyloggers, 2FA break-ins, social engineering and so on.

Zero-config stuff is good for busy people who create large schemes / systems.

As if programming was the future. Programming might be less than 0.5% of the big tech meanwhile people might have an impression it's 50% of the big tech. This stuff is deeper than people have been assuming in common places.

Clouds are killing it. These are large, cybernetics infrastructures. Maybe if you can do 1 million WordPress sites via clouds, it's some vision.

Template programming is in C / Python, but doing own programming languages lets you separate from those cultures that impose and impose their ideas. They mostly invite to think in their way - it has massive consequences for ourselves.

A classic groupthink.

Do you imagine automating all that stuff just to "stay with wordpress", "stay with the crowd"?
No way. That solution is too clustered and it tells you to get used to those systems which influences your being -> your soul -> your soul gets limited -> your revenue drops over time as you're not learning more powerful stuff but wordpress maintenance and how to multiply sites with that which is close to 0.

I like creating speed-optimized custom themes and use WP as a backend with all the good plugins for Caching, SEO, Forms and whatever is needed. Also WooCommerce for ecommerce functionality.

It's a monolithic thing which is a trap created by narrow-vision and linear thinking.
These things if practiced for a long time, will create tunnel-vision and kill inner-self leaving fake-self which will cause dramatic consequences such as depression, mental health problems and more.

The consequences of choices of small and big things are big.

I didn't want to listen to systems engineers until I got flipped by the reality and realized that what I'm doing is really the same stuff, just from different perspective. It takes as much as shifting perspective to get $1b and $1k.

I saw a trend of putting everything on sale and... everything including people's ass. They sell their ass and then it creates mass problems. And so it's with sites and cars, and houses... You give houses for free and build a civilization of free people.

Of course, it's a joke. You can fully automate wordpress creating a wordpress subsystem, which I will have to do because nobody else will do that as that's not their responsibility. I tried to be dishonest for 5 seconds and it backfired. All equations are lies as we can see. The reality doesn't care about equations and math. It quickly got me caught.

It's the mathematics that are clustering minds and opportunities, not parts of reality.
Some people believe that mathematics is what creates the universe / the reality and that mathematics is not an effect of the reality / the universe.
And then they found a blackhole and said "no math inside, wtf". How can you find math inside a blackhole if minds can't enter it as there is no way out of there.

Hah, so reality is trying to sell its items through to people. What is the point of that. Probably this "financial system" business.
People are some processors of reality... The reality is advertising itself. This is some next level marketing strategy.

ive been churning out a lot of wp service-based sites this year
all using same baselines:
theme - generatorpress
plugins - gp premium (free from bhw), generateblocks, wordfence (for security), wpforms (for contact form), wp super cache (for speed optimization), all-in-one migration (for backups).

my method is analyze what forums/blogs say is good, then manually put everything to the test, to see which works best for me. speed is always of high concern. for example you may be deciding which cache plugin to use. run a gtmetrix.com test against both plugin configurations and see who's the winner.

I do like to use the core functionalities of WordPress. No 3rd party plugins built and poorly maintained.
We switched to the blocks editor along with ACF as the basement. It's rock-solid, even with an ACF extended ultra engine.

What do you use ACF for? Is it mainly for editable content? I wonder if it could be replaced by using Full-Site Editing theme functionality now.
