Facebook Movie App - Need Feedback/Advice

Hey guys,

I just started developing a movie app (similar to the fairly popular movie sites that everyone seems to have). It has a little under 1000 members currently, yet Facebook is only showing like 3 or 4 users. Any other Facebook devs have any idea whats up with the MAU not updating? Facebook support is worthless. I was hoping someone experienced the same issue. My script requires that users authorize my app to use it, so I'm not sure why the MAU doesn't reflect the actual users.

You're confused with users and fans

App has 832 users but only 7 fans... users and fans are not same. Users are those that install your apps and fans are those that click like on app profile page.

I'm not confused at all. I know the difference between users and fans. I'm not a complete idiot. The app had 3 users and still the 7 fans prior to making this post (and no, the sudden influx didn't come from BHW). The MAU had not updated for well over a week. I guess Facebook updates MAU randomly. The MAU is still incorrect, but at least it's showing some sort of user base now and doesn't make the app look so unused...

I have read somewhere that facebook have stopped updating the MAU. You can check it at allfacebook.com. I guess i read it there.

you said 3 or 4 users, I've seen 873... there is only one thing I could think about at the moment

Ive had the same problems with one of my applications. I had over 2k members but only 200 MAU in FB's stats.

I hired a coder to do some work on my app. This work had nothing to do with the MAU count. But once his work was complete, FB began to count my MAU again.

Yeha, thats the same basic idea I got from reading the Facebook dev forums. Seems the only way to get the MAU updated is by posting in Facebook's bugzilla and get your app manually updated...
