you start with one million email addresses and end with a few ten thousands who thinks you're the god and they'll buy anything what you want to sell them
and i think there was something about an underground betting syndicate (leading by the Russian Mafiya?), so you can write to the recipients that you get your tips from them

@OP - the reason that you can't find the original thread is probably because it needed to be deleted. If you read the TOS it explains that illegal activities and outright scams aren't allowed. As BHW has aged, it has had to become more and more legit about things like that to keep from getting in real legal troubles. As blackhat methods begin to be legislated against and cross over from blackhat to illegal the older threads sometimes get cleaned up. That's why there aren't any forums dedicated to spam, cookie stuffing, e-whoring, etc. At one time they were big topics in the forum, now they aren't allowed.
This particular method of splitting an email list into winning picks is certainly not illegal, and in itself it isn't necessarily a scam. Just a trick, similar to a magicians illusion. But it would be so easy to perpetrate a scam using this method, it was probably determined best to delete it.
The fact that this type of info used to be on this forum makes me wish I had come across BHW a year or two earlier than when I did. If it was seo20 that originally posted it then I'm even more impressed with him than I was already. The particular method you were trying to remember is brilliant, I wish I would have been around to read the complete thread when it was first presented.
If anyone tries any variations on this method, you should try to stay legit with it. There are so many legit ways you could use the credibility gained from this method to make money, there's no reason to scam anyone with it.

With this logic, we can say that the same thing applies to most of other methods here. It would be easy to perpetrate scams through them.
Are you sure it was the real reason behind deleting it?
I was also wondering, are there any new creative ideas or systems for monetizing the upcoming 2010 worldcup event?

No, I'm not sure, I really have no idea why that particular thread was deleted. I just know that a lot of things do get deleted when there are changes in the laws. Like I said at one time CS had it's own forum dedicated to it on here, now even discussing the topic is forbidden.
As far as everything on bhw being considered a possible scam, that's not really the case. Most BH methods are about getting people to go sign up for something that they might not have done otherwise. But once they do so, they still get all the same benefits as anyone else that signed up for the offers.
@★WiM★ - Sounds like maybe you don't understand the difference between blackhat and scam. BH methods might hop around the borderline of ethics, but the idea is to stay on the side of legal as much as possible. All the money you make won't be much fun while you're in jail. I'll bet even Bernie Madoff would agree with that.
A guy faking a girls profile and ewhoring to get a horny guy to sign up for a porn site is BH. Doing the same exact thing except having the guy send you $2000 for a plane ticket for the fake girl to visit him is a scam. There really is a difference.
The method mentioned in this thread is the foundation for a betting scam. It could be used to filter your list based on winning predictions on football games, and then when you have them hooked, you get people send you $5000 to get the final prediction on the outcome of the worldcup.
"You've seen the proof. Our inside man can gaurantee the results of the match. Send us $5000 to know the result of the World Cup. You'll make much more than that when you bet on the match."
That kind of use would be a scam.The method could also be used just to develop a great amount of credibility, and then send the people on your final list to some offers where they can sign up for an online casino offer, amazon books on betting, even how to make money offers and the final list will convert really well. If you did it all right, you would be like a guru with his followers. You could continue monetizing that list for years. That's a great BH use of the method.
Anyone that makes comments like "what is this? are we whitehat world now?" is missing the point. Black Hat is not the same as Scam Hat.
Haven't you noticed that no one discusses the finer points of how to perpetrate a 419 email letter here? In fact along with discussing and developing great White Hat and Black Hat methods on here, there's also a lot of discussion about how fucked up scammers are.
The only real discussions about making money with scammers, is about ways to game the scammers to think they are going to get the money they are scamming for but instead they sign up for your cpa offer or other such method.
So I'll say it again, if you use the email filtering method, don't use it to perpetrate a betting scam. You can get great results if you just use it to gain credibility for your list and then use that for some legit method. Send them to your cpa offers, sell them ebooks, sign them up on your forum, or whatever, but don't try an outright scam with the method. Aside from the ethics of it, unless you really know how to do it, scamming can wind up with you in jail.
