Hey everyone,

I'm curious to get your thoughts on the meme-making process. From your experience, what do you find more difficult: coming up with the idea for a meme or actually building it (designing, editing, etc.)?

Looking forward to hearing your opinions!

staying relevant with the current trends and being massy in terms of information however still niche specific . what do you think about it ?

Meme creation is easy, the hard part is coming up with the concept or pun.

I've been thinking about starting a meme page on FB, but I'm not sure how to start it or whether it'd be possible monetize it.

Creation is way harder.
Without Reels you won't grow, and you won't make good reels if you don't know video editing.

I think the Idea because is not easy to get a new fresh meme concept.
Even if you found the idea, you need to make it resonate with your target audience.

I had experience creating and coming up with memes; it’s definitely harder to invent them.

Coming up with a meme idea can be more challenging than designing it, as it requires creativity and understanding trends, whereas building it involves straightforward design skills and tools.

Why not the both? Whatever that requires creation and creative thoughts is harder. People who find them easy become popular!

Product gets complete only when ideas + implementation and presentation combined well.

the idea, what you want to express with that mean, all memes are about daily things or funny situations that could happen in your daily, but still is hard, is like stand ups all based on personal and other people experiences.

I guess I should have asked your profession as well.

I guess I should have asked your profession as well.

I make most of my money with adult affiliate.

I also dabble in graphic design, some webdev, some python coding, spamming social media, video editing, crypto.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm a lousy jack of all trades.

Memes? Which rich person will pay you fat bucks for producing memes?

Please, don't tell me you're trying to become 1 in 8 billion people who will get rich by meme production...

Yes, this forum is related to making money and marketing. I don't know who gives a damn about memes.

Low overall value, a meme is worth $0. You got to develop a content strategy first, then see if memes fit it. Although I don't think static images are something breakthrough in 2024. It's like 2 decades ago type of stuff.

It takes 15 seconds for me to create a meme that will make me laugh. Although next time it won't be funny. Better make an animated cartoon that people can watch over and over again. Inspiration can be Tom and Jerry.

Solution to this problem from my perspective is of course black hat. Yes, this is a black hat forum. YES!

AND SO? THERE IS NO COPYRIGHT ON 99.98% OF MEMES.

So what you do? Make a compilation of researched, memes with funny sounds and that's it. You don't have to create stuff over and over again.

You can get someone to vet them for you. Just tell sources below instead of straight stealing.

Win win!
Yes!

Make one huge project instead of many projects and make it work like an assembly line where promotion is just one part of the process. You need a big money making machine to maximize money.

You automate graphics, promoting, site creation, video production, everything. At that point you don't need to do anything other than build more software, add infrastructure, reinvest.

Yes, it takes years to build but the process is rewarding and you can't resist building once you wake up. It's like building a business monster nobody can touch.

If your doing really corporate/soulless memes then the idea part is not hard as it's just ripped off from what's currently trending. Making something people engage with will usually take fresh ideas though.

Meme ideas is harder than meme creation, becuae in order for you to create or produce a meme, you should have a good sense of humor.
