Question: Alternative to medium? - Publish Articles - Parasite seo

Hello bhw,

Im currently looking for sites / alternatives similar to Medium to publish articles (Free to use).

Im currently trying to rank again on a keyword, that could be considered as "banned" after google recently updated their algorithms, because the user who are using this keyword want to buy product but google will not list anything thats close to a onlineshop. So i have to publish articles around this topic in order to get traffic.

I cant publish on my own website, because i only write&focus on the keywords topic, which google doesnt like that why im looking for good ranking sites or forums to publish articles.

Does substance get ranked? I have never seen one ranking, do you have any exampe? I also don't see tumblr ranking either.

I think YouTube is the strongest parasite you can think of. People just don't think of it that way. But it almost never dies if you do it well.

But sometimes, linkedIn itself deletes content.
As you said the KW is kind of BANNED, may be you can try and see how it behaves there.
Also, you can use the Quora space.

Haha yes i totally agree. I was just to lazy to create videos over article because it takes so much time but changed my mind and hired a VFX guy today

Thanks for your reply. Well im pretty sure that LinkedIn also would not like my content sadly. I tried Quora once, ranked good but Quora is mainly to ask question, if i put up an article it mostly gets taken down because its clear that i just want to advertise and Quora has the possibility that compeditor could just reply with unwanted stuff in the created post/thread (i dont really want discussion/comments)

Consider publishing your articles on free platforms like Hubpages, Substack, Blogger where you can get traffic for the keywords you target.

Will definitely try out Substack but hubpages seems inactive, shows a 404 on the mainpage

just google "site:linkedin.com/pulse/" and you'll have all the examples you'll need ^^
add sample keywords afterwards for more niche/language specific ones,

you'll need a good account with X number of connections & aged i believe to make it work,
you'll get restricted/banned if you're using it for BH niches tho, but works well for other niches

Thanks for info. I have account that's 5+ years old with 2k+ connections/followers. Never advertised anything on it. Just wrote about single niche I like personally that's have huge potential for B2B sales.

i did some small tests with linkedin, i don't really have a good idea of possible triggers for accounts restrictions,
someone else hopefully could provide you with help in what accounts should be used, links, etc...
or just invest if you have the buget to, it's a tiny amount compared to the possible ROI

I dont know where you live but tumblr has been dead on my serps (for a really really good time).

Also substack is heavily moderated. Tried using it like 3-4 months ago and they deleted stuff pretty fast.

Automating that process is even possible? Cause it sounds like a b1tch to automate. Like, how do we create an automation that writes automation to post links. Most websites are just inputs and textareas. Well, it would be an automation that'd be shooting blindfolded and finding some "sign ups" alikes and then I'd be understanding the page with some conditions / patterns written down. But... I don't know.

Hardcore project that would be.

If it couldn't find its way to successful posting on a website, I think it should call a supervisor via email / sms and they'd fix the process by rewatching a video document off failure of it.

After like a year maybe you could have 0.01% failures but who knows what could be! Just speculation!

Well, now your program is still useless since it can only create accounts on random sites.
The problem is with indexing. But wouldn't it be that if you posted on random sites, you'd get some indexed easily and then you would see what's getting indexed without using any special indexers.

Well, here you can add analysis of results and see which sites are worth posting on.
Albeit it's about content that's being posted. So on a single website, there can be a variety of types of content and niches posted.
That's another indexing factor.

As we can see, the research process in this type of venture is as complicated as research can get.

It's about programming automation that researches the internet. Like scraping v. 2.0. Without AI of course.

I think we should think of "indexing factors" more than "ranking factors" in 2024.

Being indexed in that search engine is a challenge in itself.

If you're indexed under 1 million queries, it's already some success. I'm sure just being on positions 5 - 8 under a large number of keywords is enough to make money which is the goal here.
