I am sorry to hear that you have separated from your partner, but based on what you have briefly said with feeling good about it, it sounds like relief. Sometimes we know the outcome of a situation but we exhaust all our options to try to accomodate to it and make it work and you may just feel a sense of peace now and that is completely normal.
