OMG blog engine poster is error and not working!

Works perfectly fine for me. What error do you get?
It does not help anybody when posting "blog engine poster is error and not working", thats like "my car does not start"...

Well I am using this for about 30 days or so...

This is great software but as people saying above me it has some problem with slow poster...

It hangs or Crashes after every 40-60 minutes and while trying to find the reason for it I observed that slow commenter has serious Memory leak issue...

The memory leak is high if comment fails compared to successful commenting.. It starts with using about 15k Memory and when It crashes it is using more than 100K and sometime even 200K

SF I am sending all crash reports whenever it happens please look into it as this is really creating problem for a user who uses only slow commenter (like me)

What IE version are you using? Many crashes came from older/corrupted IE core (ole exception, mshtml exceptions etc.)

slow commentor constantly pops up asking me if I wish to "save or open this file", and it has been a ppt file from the blog it was posting at.

Anyone kknow how to prevent this as it really renders the software useless to me? Im using i.e 8

Have you configured your IE8 correctly? If you haven't made any configurations - open IE8, go to tools -> internet options -> advanced and adjust it. Currently I am not getting any errors (apart from virus'es alerts), when I am using slow poster mode.

@hamd01: PM me one URL where it does it. Want to see if it does the same for me.

I don't think this is an isolated problem. There are several similar posts and I too crash around 40 to 60 minutes. It is running on a relatively old PC though and I think it is the memory leak that is crashing the software. Currently I have a list of 1000 BE sites with 99% of posts ok and around 50% with confirmed links. This takes a little under 40 minutes so it prevents the crash.

However I would like to post to say 10,000 sites overnight but if I do it crashes on a regular basis.

I have been trying to extract every comment page on specific blogs. I'm trying to mass submit comments to all blog posts on these blogs. I noticed when I extract the URL's, It doesn't scrape comment pages? Can anyone tell me why?

Also, I have a list of blogs that are PR 6 and higher. I'm trying to mass comment on these blogs. However, these blogs are not wordpress, BlogEngine or Movable types, So how can I mass post comments on them?

Also, I have a list of several spammable blogs that you need to log into, does scrape box have a function to auto fill the fields and post for me?

What type of Blogs are they or are they all different types?
Send me a PM if you want.

You are quite Correct, IE version is not related to issue I am reporting I clearly indicated that it is memory leak which is causing this problem...

SF - if you can check your memory leak you will find the problem and I guess it will be pretty easy to fix that

As long support does not get at least a single url which crash SB, its hard to debug I guess.

Here are the last couple of crashes reported to the bug tracker:

Description: Access violation at address 642DA847 in module 'Flash10e.ocx'. Read of address 00000000.
Steps To Reproduce: slow commenting on Wordpress

Description: Access violation at address 5FC378A4 in module 'QuickTimeStreaming.qtx'. Write of address 00000190.
Steps To Reproduce: Slow Commenter for 204:14 minutes , i've done nothing , about 800 already comented , and a few hundered more to go !

Flash and Quicktime crashes, most the problems in the browser commenter are due to third party browser plugins, toolbars etc and peoples specific setups and not ScrapeBox in general.

If thousands of people can comment on a specific URL with ScrapeBox, and one persons machine goes tits up on it then that sort of thing can be hard to fix other than removing the browser commenter completely.

How can i reproduce this memory leak?

Do me a favor, open Internet Explorer and paste this URL:
Code:

How much memory does Explorer use? Yep it shoots to over 250k and throttles a whole CPU core loading a single page, so if ScrapeBox relies on the IE engine then how can it possibly use less RAM than it?

Please dont get angry, I meant to report an error in genuine way, you are the developer and you have the access to your source code. so only you can solve the memory leak problem.

My job was to report the issue...

BTW if you can add a button in crash reporting where we can see what caused crash ? that will be helpful, at least I will not send you the third party plugin causing crashes.... and will send you something which is real problem...

That will help you in improving

Just picked this up at $57. Looking forward to getting it activated and getting started. :)

Steve.

It has been commented that there hasnt been very good information provided about the various errors being reported in scrapebox.

So, an error I am getting quite often is seen in the following image

error1.png

Im using i.e 8 with Windows 7. Im happy to do any testing required to resolve this, as it is a constant bind.

Many thanks guys.

Did you send the error report firstly?

YOu need to turn your connection rate down a little bit by the looks of it, plus why havent you updated to 1.14.27?

I had the same error multiple times over the past week, and have sent the report...not every time though.

With regards the version, I only downloaded a week ago from the URL I was emailed when I purchased. Is there any instructions anywhere for an upgrade download and procedure?

Click the button that says "Update" - under "More", right side of the window about halfway down. Then just follow the onscreen instructions.
