That might be the reason. I have a "," there. Till now i didnt found the moment when the value silently is changing...

I normally type in 9999 and it changes to 1,000. And this works fine until... the moment I hopefully be aware of... At the moment I always click in the field one time before i start the harvester. Because it changes the value then to 1 even when it showed 1,000 before. If it takes it as 1000 it keeps this value by clicking...

Remember this, its not the quantity of the backlinks that's important its the quality. And Amen to that! Hopefully Google doesn't get so smart that they start sandboxing sites that meet the criteria of junk backlinks. Once that happens this software is doomed and so are the sites that link to them. I think you will find that Google is gearing up to throw a nasty surprise your way this year. One of those will be links from spamvested sites. Mark my words, when this happens you wont know what hit you.

On topic: The program works great. I've had it for about 24hrs, I messed up in the first couple hours, but I successfully posted several thousand backlinks for a couple different websites, and I'm still messing around with it, trying to figure out what everything does.

Thanks again for the software; it really is quite amazing for it's price. Only problem I have with it, is it's crashed about 3 times, when a specific URL is placed into the auto-comment. Anyone know why that specific URL crashes SB?

Again, awesome program. All the whiners/QQers are just shitty cause we're all benefiting from it, and they aren't.

Use 999 (nine hundred ninty nine), it loosed 1 result per query if the query has more than 1000 results, but its the best way to sail arround the "seperator bug" on non US machines.

It seems the load proxy or save proxy function in proxy harvester is damaged. I save my proxies to a file and load them at next harvesting. But the loaded proxies arent recognized. I only get a bunch of empty lines when I import this file. I think the normal ip is used then because the ip-check is failed with them.

Can it be that SB can be updated while runtime without a notice? I came back from harvesting proxies and clicked at the Results. The number changed to 1. I typed in 9999 and now there is wrote 1.000. I dont think there was used a . before. So was it updated while runtime?
But maybe its some kind of random behaviour...

If this really happens then I can spam my competitors to hell . The only thing they can do is to stop counting these backlinks thats all. They will not ban/sandbox or whatever sites for link spamming. My copy of SB is working fine. A few days ago I blasted one of my sites and I already have 200 new backlinks and the site is page 1 for the targeted keyword. There is only 6000 competititors for the keyword but I am happy with the result . And as already mentioned SB reports comments as posted not that they are alive on the blogs. If you are akismeted there is very little chance that your comments will ever be posted. The software works great if you know what you are doing.

Remember this - scrapebox does WAY more than just build backlinks. Maybe if you'd been a bit more patient and willing to invest a bit of time you would have figured that out.

But given your history of freaking out and flaming service providers, I'm not surprised you went down the route you chose.

I bought the software a couple of days ago and the registration code came through in minutes. Very good value for money and harvesting urls and proxies is very effective. It will take some time to put together a decent comment that will be approved by the blog owners though.

Avoid the temptation to pick a user name of dogtraining or weightloss etc, great in theory as anchor text but someone else may already be using that username on these blogs. Result, comment will not be accepted by the blog (duplicate username).

By all means use your anchor text as your username but be creative.

Any one know if the software can be run from a USB drive like Backlinking Demon?

I did a license transfer yesterday to another computer with the USB drive but I have encountered a few problems.

When I try to unlock proxies the software opens 'hundreds' of Internet Explorer pages at the Google search page. It just about kills my machine. Tried setting default browser to Firefox but this doesn't fix it. It worked ok on my previous computer.

Also the harvesting is not running the same as my last machine. I ask for 999 url's and if I try just Google it uses a couple of proxies (if they are not locked) and returns 200 url's at most. If I add the other search engines they get me more urls but still not that many. My previous machine was running Hidemyip premium service and the new one isn't. Could this be the reason for the lower harvesting levels?

I'm using Slow Commentor Accurate Mode, but then after awhile, my Decaptcher Balance is $0.00, and when I go to settings, I check balance and It's $9.86. Why does it happen? And it isn't just a GUI error, I even fail due to it being 0. "Failed captcha".

Actually I can harvest thousands of urls if I use lots of keywords but I want to enter just one i.e. the domain name of a competitor. I just want to see where they got their 5000+ links from.

Is there any reason why I can't just enter the one keyword (domain.com) to harvest their backlinks? If this will not harvest the backlinks how do I find out the competitors links?

Super updates. I've another idea. It's not necessary but is there any demand for 2nd captcha services? I've accounts at anitgate and captchabot and would be cool if we could get support for them. Mainly because those two are even cheaper. Decaptcher is $2 per 1000, antigate and captchabot is $1 for 1000 captchas.

charon is very reputable (if a bit aged) and gives you a lot of info about proxies - apekillape has an excellent tut on how to use it - you might wanna start with that

there's other decent apps out there for testing proxies

you might also wanna check out portalweb's online proxy tester, I played with it for a few minutes the other day

just out of curiousity - what do you mean by "just made my own private proxies"?
