Bought yesterday. Today tried many times with many keywords to harvest urls, it is almost useless. Less 20 urls, nothing related to my keywords.

I use tested free proxies. Is that a problem?

Sites to ping need to be wordpress, moveable type, blogengine? Or can be any type websites?

Just updated to the latest version and when i clicked on the prompt that says " start the latest version" the whole interface just disappear from the screen and i had to bring it up again and same thing happened. Any help on this? Thanks

Hello...

anybody noticed that Scrapebox is finding the wrong PR of the URLs?
I am comparing them to the results offered by SEOtoolbar, rankchecker and other plugins, and the PR do not correspond.

Often for a PR 7-8-9 found by scrapebox, results in an UNRANKED link when checked with FF toolbars or via website-based PR checkers.

Thanks

I have noticed that my proxies play a huge part in this. It is dependent on different data centers, but if you use good quality private proxies results should be pretty consistent.

For instance, I live in Indiana here in the USA. When I check are large list of sites with my IP I get consistent PR. When I check that same list with several PR checkers online/toolbars, I get the same PR. When I check that list with my private proxies from yourprivateproxies.com I get the same PR. When I check the list with scrapebox harvested proxies I get random results varying based on where in the world the ip is from and what data center it accesses. (bearing in mind there may have been a minor discrepancy here or there between all sources, but nothing major like when using non-private proxies.)

Just purchased this, haha. Looks really great and promising. Just waiting to be confirmed.

Is there a keyword limit for the TDNAM scraper? When I input too many I get an error and it just hangs and crashes.

Is there any way to higher the pagerank checker timeouts? I cannot find any on the application nor .ini file.

Thanks

Has anyone else noticed that recently... harvesting from goog-e with the free proxies is basically useless? If there's 20 keywords on the list it might scrape 2-4 of them. Most of the free proxies are most likely burned out by goog-e. I saw this coming when I heard about the new multi-thread harvester.

I guess the days of using free proxies for harvesting are almost gone.

Yeah I noticed this. I mostly use yahoo and bing and avoid Big G, but I also don't use just the harvested proxies. I pull in public proxies from some private forums and different places. Just the harvested ones are being heavily used.

You can ping any site. But I am guessing that you don't know how the pinger works or you wouldn't have asked that question.

The pinger just pings a site. Say yoursite.com. All that does it inflate the page count of the number of times that yoursite.com is loaded in the analytics tool. It doesn't inherently help your site at all. So if you go pinging random blogs its just going to show they got more visitors then they really did.

So this could come in handy if you wanted to sell a site and fake the traffic on it so it looked like you were getting more visitors then you were. Or if you found a site that publicly displayed its referrer log. Then you could fake a bunch of traffic to their site from your site which would push your site to the top of the list and it would link back to your site.

That or if you wanted to DDOS attack someones site, you could use the pinger. Mind you if you aren't careful and you don't know what you are doing you might DDOS someones site, which btw they will not like and in turn your isp will not like. Not saying you don't know what you are doing, just fyi.

I think there is a video on the pinger function in the scrapebox support section.

I don't think so. It would seem that if its timing out that its either your proxies or your internet connection speed.

If its your proxies you can just get some exclusive, or semi exclusive ones. See proxies in the help tab of scrapebox. If your getting just a few time outs its probably your proxies.

If your getting a ton of timeouts it could be your proxies too, but it could also be your internet connection. If you internet "pipe" is full and it can't connect before the timout is reached then you would get that. Try throttling down your connections for the PR checker and if you still get the timout error then its your proxies.

I don't know why my scrapebox is not working properly after downloading the 1.12.37 (new update)

I scraped urls. Checked them with Alive. Saved it in a .txt file. And now when i import the list of WP blog urls and post it on fast commenter or slow commenter , each and every blog says "failed, timeout" but selecting manual option works fine. Using proxies are not working for me as well. And i didn't change anything in the firewall either.

What's wrong with it? Anybody can help me, please?

With that discrepancy maybe you erraneously checked the domain pr instead the url-pr?

Success: 151
Failed: 1168

Why is that?

Start by watching the videos in under support on the help tab. There is so much scrapebox can do that its hard to say where the best spot to start is.

What I would do is mess around with some of the features. Don't go crazy and blast a million blogs out the gate, do a few hundred and get familiar with the way things work.

As for the success/fail you asked about. Scrapebox scrapes the search engines for results. It supports fast posting to the most common setups and slow poster to many more. Not every url that search engines return necessarily relevant to what you searched for. (go figure) :D

So if you search for wordpress blogs on golf, you will find a lot, but you will also find stores selling golf stuff, golf articles etc... Obviously scrapebox can't post to them, so they would fail. Some blogs dont have comments turned on so they would fail, some have setting enabled that it would make it impossible to post, etc... So you will have a fail rate, but its a number game. If you post to a million blogs and 600K fail, you still posted to 400K which is smokin awesome!

Stick with it, you will get it.

The second thing I would do is spend a week reading thru this thread and pay particular attention to anything sweetfunny or gregstereo says.

Ive been using 1.12.37 and have successfully posted to over 100K blogs in multiple blasts via fast poster. Do you get this error is you skip checking them with alive?

What are your fast poster timout settings set at? How many connections are you running and what speed is your internet connection?

Try increasing your timeout, and decreasing your connections.

Are you using private exclusive proxies or harvested ones? My private proxies are working fine. What happens when you try to use proxies?

Thanks loopline, I think it's because of my connection

Your welcome mate. :D glad to help. I am actually going to call my ISP as they just started offering a 24mbit/3mbit connection. My 18/1.5 is just not fast enough.

I have around 150 Auto Approve Wordpress Blogs. I used Slow Accurate Mode to comment on them using Private Proxies.

Around 100 of them said "Posted". I went back to check, and NONE of my comments were actually posted.

I tried posting manually, and all my comments went through.

Anybody know why this is happening?

I could imagine that SB has no chance to get focus, because you are doing something else on the PC during the time SB is trying to post using the slow poster.
When you manually post, then SB of course has focus...
