It was a fake post with the aim of getting a Reddit user banned by the subreddit moderators.

At no time does it mention reddit, there are only 20000 connected on Reddit maximum and the links are never shared, how do you want there to be 20 million visits.

can you explain? Facebook groups all have moderator approval and none of them approve it. Twitter traffic doesnt come all that easy even if you're quick
