How can I get a domain name for under $1?

.com, .net, .org, etc.
These you will not get for US$1. Those who tell you that you can get .com, .net, .org (TLDs) for US$1 are ignorant of the fact that it would be US$1 for the first year, ONLY IF you pay for 3 years, 5 years, etc and their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc would be the usual around US$8 or so yearly.
Nonetheless, you can get .cyou, .link, .store, .xyz, etc for US$ 1 per year, paying for even ONLY 1 year.

Also,
a very few domain registrars will offer $1 domain registration renewal coupon when you near the expiry date.
I've got 2-3 of them. Note they are for limited-time only and IDK if they still work. You better enter coupon code at checkout to find out. Else get some new ones on sites like retailmenot.

cosmotown.com CTNONED22 (applies to .com renewal only.)
the-online.com CJCRN1COM (applies to .com, .net, .info, .biz, .co renewal only)
godaddy.com CJCSKWSB9 (applies to .com renewal only if you have paid website builder plan)

Now I made a test goto gofuckdaddy india create an account, find one of these new tld extensions like. pro.site ,etc,etc...
enter a 55% promo code on a domain one year for R899 (india rupee)

in the checkout I enter the promo code - accepted- but WTF gofuckdaddy showing me?

like this:
doman 1 year R899
renewal= R2600

You get 66% deal off today !
normal is the price 55% from R899 something like R499 but not with gofuckdaddy they steal and lying to you in front of the face and not reduce the regular domain price down to the 55% promo deal.

I wonder that this criminal company has millions of customers still today.
I not found any registrar who has promo deals 50-90% on th enew tld extensions only for uk or com domain.

Happy Weekend

I checked the site the-online.com, not found any domain extension who has $1 for the first year

.press extension is expensive between $50-75 renewal.....

Just got a .com from godaddy for 99p (well 1.19 with tax)
I bet this is your first godaddy account anbd you are a new customer ?

I tried to create new godaddy account on godaddy.in put in a promo code got accepted- whoom ..godaddy is cheating me with this:

origin price is R899 (india rupee)
add promo code = price is the same =R899 (1 year)

Then on the checkout page they lie in my face with this scam:

origin price R899
promo R899
renewal R2600

"now you save 66% off "

they are not scammers they are become criminal.....

now another test with another 75% promo code checkout pages not showing a promo discount reduced price- nope,nada,zilch- but they added some fees to it leeching more money from you see screenshot- unbelievaible.

cosmotown with code is $3 .com, the renewal next years is normal price

My promo coupon test on godaddy.in is this normal on gofuckdaddy?

If you have several credit cards you can create multiple accounts on godaddy and get a bunch of $1 domains although renewals are very expensive there. I guess it's not bad for testing a site for 1 year before the renewal comes.

godaddy or namecheap somethimes offer domain names for under $1 of different TLD like xyz and others for 1st year . you have to followuop their offers

my test yesterday was with a promo coupon 75% of all godaddy domain registrations...
