I keep getting a problem, where I leave it to post on a list of blogengine blogs, and it I come back to it, only find that it has posted to a few hundred out of a list of a few hundred thousands and reached a blog that is asking us to log in with a pop up, OR there is a pop up window asking me to install Microsoft Silver Light or something...

It doesnt skip the blog like I assume it should and continue with the list, it just hangs.

Any Ideas SweetFunny?

yea but I was having a nice success rate of free proxies using SB. Would harvest around 2000 and out of those 400 or so would be good. Now out of 2000 I get about 100 then when it goes back through them I get 0.

Couple things here:

One, the more sbox users there are, the more the harvested proxies get hit - used, abused, and even banned (e.g. @kismet). And the userbase keeps growing (good for Sweetfunny, she deserves it; @newb sbox users - reading is fundamental - we're here to help you, but we will slap you if you spam matt cutts' blog...no we won't, we'll actually laugh at you if you do that, but you get my point)

Two - I suspect that for at least a few days after each major update of sbox, the userbase is jumping all over the new features, and for those who rely on the harvested proxies, you can take the factor of my first point and multiply it by at least a magnitude of ten.

The harvested proxies today have been horrible, I'm not even bothering with them because they're getting stomped by all of us rushing out with our shiny new version 1.12.9.

Ok...Just thought Id chime in....even with a few hundred proxies just tested...Ezine is Not working for me...hasnt worked for almost a week now. Can scrapebox be made to open the page in the browser and sit on the page for a fixed time..ie 30 seconds, I suspect that they changed the hit to include time spent on page parmaters. Not sure if anybody can test this out ?
I hope this gets fixed fast, as this is my main use....of SB

I too got the same result with the proxy harvester. I think though it maybe because the website it tests to see if it exists has a problem. I tell you why, right after I looked and tested the proxies and it returned zero I closed scrapebox and reloaded it. It could not find any servers to verify my licenses. I think this is because either my IP was banned from that router or the website that is checked was down.

Any thoughts? Do we know what website is looked for when testing IPs

hopefully this is the case. I'd tried adjusting timeout, etc but always end up with zero in the end

You know what? My guess (although it's an educated guess based on the amount of ezines backlinks I've seen on a bunch of sites I have acccess to) is that a lot of sbox users have hammered the living shit out of backlinks to ezines that, yes, they have caught on and have made some changes. It's a cat and mouse game, and unfortunately some users of sbox have smoked too much catnip and think that spamming the holy hell out of anywhere they can think of won't hurt them...or any other users of the app.

That and/or your proxies suck or have been identified and blocked upstream from sbox.

Been reading up and watching videos for days on scrapebox, just purchased it minutes ago. I actually went looking for the crack the other day, and found a forum where they was talking about it, and then the author of scrapebox (Sweetfunny I presume) was talking about being a family man trying to support his family with selling his program. I also read rave reivews about his support, so I couldn't NOT purchase it outright. I'm looking forward to having it activated and start rockin and a rollin with it!

On my behalf, you're welcome (and I think I can speak for Sebastian in saying that as well)....I think it's natural for us BH'er's to tend to be a bit paranoid. Nothing wrong with that - just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

And yes, major respect and props to Sweetfunny for all the support, work, and labour on SF's part - respect to the nth degree, Sweets!

I just upgraded both of my licenses of SB running on 2 different PC's. I rebooted after the upgrade, and both PC's stop harvesting with 2 connections left to harvest. Ive tried to harvest 3 times on each PC and get the same problem each time. It says Status - Harvesting with 2 connections left ( I set it to 10 connections max per search engine with over 100 working proxies available). Clicking Stop Harvesting doesnt respond. Again, both PC's doing this.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this?
