More Backlinks Wins in March Update

It seems the March 2023 is a correction of some past updates.

Checking across my sites, and KWs ranking, I realized that pages with More Backlinks Rank Higher than Pages with Longer Content or Quality so to say.

What's your experience and take on this?

Backlinks had always been the number one factor. But if Google is able to find out that you are buying links to manipulate rankings, they will punish you in penalty. A common example of this is like they find a big network and punish all sites getting links from there. If you are smart, you will be buying from a professional seller who can hide his network well.

That's an interesting observation. Sites I monitor seems not to follow this trend.

Core updates are usually not so clear on their aim and sometimes, affected pages experience reversal.

buying one powerful backlink is better than 100 of spammy links. I do link Building for living. when I do link building for my clients I do proper research on the site like how much the site is old and whether the ranking keywords of the website are related to their niche or they use black hat techniques and many other things to keep in mind when doing backlinks. and we are not hit by google because of our relevancy and powerful techniques

Yeah, links and age were observed to have much relevance, but there would definitely be more than this mere observation.

All I see is amazon, walmart and target top 3 for everything I search since update. It was much more balanced and diverse prior to update.
