If you buy an expired domain, do you start your money site on it (similar niche), or do you redirect it to a new domain and then start the money website on the new domain?

Which will provide the best result according to your experience?

You can do both if the domain isn't brandable enough. But the better option is to always stick with the original domain.

The more steps you have, the bigger the chance of failure.

Thanks for the advice :)

Both would be good , redirecting have its own benefit over and new domain is clean from redirects , so differs .

This is a double edge sword. Things can go really well or really wrong. Depends on your experience, when you do this, you can be basically gambling. Take care.
Personally, I keep expired for tier 1 sites (not MS), never, ever, redirects.
