Running a Wordpress Blog? Template Tags affect your positions!

Do you own a Wordpress Blog? I just learned a valuable lesson with Google and Yahoo in editing the template tags in the index.php file. I sunk all my indexed positions without ever knowing about it until two weeks had past.

No worries, because I spent half the night fixing it. Now I have to wait for about 7 to 10 days. I documented my errors and took pictures of everything so I could do a proper write up and pass it on to all fellow Wordpress bloggers, "What they never taught you at Wordpress.org!"

It's a good thing it's a test blog, but in two weeks it wil be monetized, so if you are tinkering around attempting to power up your Wordpress Blog, it's worth the five minutes to read and see with pictures how not to do to shoot yourself in the foot. Which is what I did, because of not reading between the lines. And you will also learn how to decide which way you should publish your content. This only applies to Wordpress Bloggers. Now you're informed!

Your welcome and glad you enjoyed it. I must make ten mistakes a day for every one I get right. I'm saving my secured socket layer (SSL)mess for another time next month. It's all about shared server SSLs' and private SSL's and how using a shared sever can really screw you up with shotty IT personnel. Like not telling you what files they changed and expecting you to be just another stupid website hosting account. Except this time, I had to go and fix their mistake myself. That was a three day ordeal. That is why it's a chapter on it's own.

The above wordpress case study was about six hours. It took me about an hour or so to fix it and five to document it. I need to work on that part. But yeah, we're going through all the hacks in the some 50 plugins that are making the grade. I have a good start now and when I get then all working on the site, I'll be able to bring more case studies out on Wordpress.
