Google Update - May 27th 2022 - What I Have Noticed

I saw on twitter, the Algo Update is somehow terminated. My metrics are the same :poop: .... I ask to some experts here, in how much time I see the final intent with my website keyword SERP etc? Or is already live and that's it?

Thank you:mad::eek:

In my experience, if your site has been tanked there is nothing to / you can do.
At least until a new core update (usually in December).
But who knows... Google makes algo adjustments on weekly (daily according to SR sensors) basis and you might regain positions.
But, in my experience, if I've been tanked during a core update, I've never recovered until the next core update (sometimes after 2/3 core updates, sometimes never).
Take this with a grant of salt, it is not a general rule.

This graphy has "bought PBN links around April" written all over it.

Haha, Not at all. My website has seen similar spikes in traffic/impressions before. If someone's website is getting pushed and thrown doesn't mean it PBNs or other stuff.

very informative....thank you ;-)

Google can't really measure "quality" of content other than by measuring how people interact with the page. So at the least, measuring if and how quickly people return to the SERPs, but possibly other things from data collected by Chrome. I have sites with AI generated content, just lightly edited in Surfer, suddenly doing a lot better. For these sites, I think most people don't read and just click the CTA right away so it looks good to Google.

So if the rollout is complete why is SEMRush sensor still so high?

The moment when people said that the G update finished rolling out

And their traffic starts to recover, while you don't

you be like:

LOL you've not to wait until the complete rolling out.
If your site has hammered on the 1st day of a core update, It'll stay hammered unitl the finish of the uèdate (and until the next core update).
Again in my experience, I've NEVER had a bounce back during the CUs propagation.
The first result, in the first day (hit) had stayed there for months (years sometimes).
Good luck guys.

Seems like it's quite the opposite.
We don't have a clue what this update targeted.
I can only talk about the niche(s) I am watching, and there it is as Google proposed. Big players are losing, smaller ones showing up. A client runs a law firm, and the major players that list attorneys (justia, avvo ) got a pretty big hit, while now smaller attorney directories show up very high in the SERPs.

Same goes for leather business, major players down, smaller players up. WHAT we don't know are the factors that lead to this. Can't be backlinks, as those law directories have thousand if not ten of thousands of good backlinks.

Good saturday! How are the GSC impressions to those was hit? Mine still sh*t.... Yours?

This update is really "stupid". I can't understand it.
My impressions are going back up but average position is plummeting again. Go figure.
Well... at least my discover traffic is going back up... at least something is good.

This happen if you get News ranking keywords. After that the avg position gets plummeting while you get a impressions boost.
