Google Update - May 27th 2022 - What I Have Noticed

Display ads increase dwell time.....
interesting cheap tactic ;)

i also noticed affiliate links opening in same window for my niche in pirate industry for download buttons significantly reduced my bounce rate when that was a GA metric from like 70% to under 20% too across the board :p

Definitely seeing some stellar improvements with my pages. I've noticed that for a lot of long tails, the rankings of these have shot up as well as me getting a few featured snippets too.

One of my sites that has crap content but good pbn links saw a gain, the others sites all have much better content with guest post/niche edits saw no change. One sites links are almost exclusively HARO and is completely whitehat, with zero links purchased saw no gains. Clearly pbns are what google wants.

Has anybody seen an increase of posts that show as "Indexed, not submitted in sitemap" on Google Search Console?

All my posts are like this now since May 18 when the drop started.

Just to confirm......

My "whitehat" site is getting slaughtered.

I feel sick.

But the one with pbn links is still going strong?

I'm seeing the same... impressions went down considerably but clicks are the same (so improved CTR).
yep - the one with PBN links is going strong.

I suspect all of my competitors are using pbn links too.

None of them are losing rankings from what I can see.

I did very well white hat for 2 years......but now its time to concentrate on my pbn site by the looks of it....

This is what Google thinks of white hat sites -

My main website is a mix of A.I with my own editing, im just seeing google dance of keywords and some actually jumping very high.

Google cant tell the difference if it is A.I or human made unsless you dont do any editing or paraphrase the content.

Keep doing good content and let the storm pass...

Hi guys, I just thought I would share my findings up to now.....

Content quality seems to be the determining factor in my rankings.

I have 2 websites.

1 site is losing rankings (good quality content)

1 site is gaining rankings (best quality content)

I wrote the content for both of my websites.

My second site (the one that is gaining rankings) has better quality content than the first (since I got better at writing over time).

This could just be coincidence, but its something I've noticed.

Maybe this is to combat websites pumping out tons of mediocre AI content ?
Website niche? Article length? website DA, PA? Website age?
